While indeed, this is only a game, it's still a fairly good representation of what's happening in the public at large right now.

Straight from NMA: Fallout 3 is a cultural zeitgeist.

I went through it twice

Good enough replay value, eh?

Nope, I am writing a review of this monstrosity, remember?

Jeez, you really deserve some kind of retribution, it's like jumping on a grenade and saving the platoon, or taking a bullet for the president. :P
My salute to you sir :salute:

Poor Ghost, don't diss his hard work!

Oh one day I will sneak up on myzko when he least suspects it and force him to play Fallout 3 and all the DLCs over and over and over.

myzko, you will then know suffering of the mind as I will make you experience it again and again.

You mean like the way Pete is 'paying' Vault Boy in your sig?
Hehe...

Interesting that now that the hype train of FO3 has stopped, the reviewers are calling a spade a spade.

Bad animations, shitty combat, poor design decisions, etc, are now being mentioned in reviews.

At least we have Fallout Neo Vegas to look forward to.

You know how it is - most reviews are just part of the hype machine at game release. Once a few months have passed and the 'eager' buyers have already purchased the game, reviewers get a little more honest to try and save face and show they can be critical. By then the damage is already done though.

Only one question remains: How low can they go before the majority of people actually stand up and say 'No, we're not going to take this anymore!'? Is there a limit, or can humanity descend into the abyss of total unconsciousness? While indeed, this is only a game, it's still a fairly good representation of what's happening in the public at large right now.

Its only a matter of time before people realize what sort of pinball wizard Bethesda is and decides its better to forget them than anything else. Remember when midway was big?

Say that for yourself, I'm in the bottom of the despair hole about the future of the franchise.

My hopes aren't high, but I really enjoyed KOTOR 2 and NWN 2 from Obsidian, so I'm holding out some possibility of decency here.

Well, it can't get worse, can it? I mean, its not like they are going to dish out a big heaping plate of Fallout: BOS 2 or anything... right? :look:

But, really, I have my hopes for New Vegas. I trust Obsidian will make a good game (at least a decent game).
