Duck and Cover headlines the following news:
I've been told that this month's PC Gamer had a mini-interview with Bethesda and was told that Fallout 3 has been 2 months in development as of E3 2006. I don't have a transcript of this yet, so if anyone feels like going down to the store and finding this, be my guest.
We'll confirm or unconfirm this as soon as we can.

Edit: turns out we've had this article scanned in for some time now, thanks to ArchangelX, but never posted on it. So here you go:

To those that paid attention this isn't really news, since Pete Hines has indicated several times that production on Fallout 3 wouldn't start before Oblivion shipped and indications have been given that a large section of BethSoft is working on Fallout 3 with the rest rounding up Oblivion. No official word on pre-production closing.

TO ARMS FOR SUFFER.

First order of business is getting our mangy mits on this PCZone, tho'. I'm guessing it's the British rag we're talking about 'n all. Brits?

They've been at it long enough, I just want them to re-release F1 F2 and tactics when and if they finally get it out there...

...generally cos I need a new copy of tactics and I want to play this F3

We have that pcgamer newsbit scaned

thanks to ArchangelX, but you didn't want to post it Kharn. I guess you forgot that.

I did forget, but to be honest I only glanced at that article and never saw the two months remark, which is actually newsworthy.

Sloppy sloppy suffer.

Heh, I remember that, and people were making fun of Archangel's post, saying it was old news.

It's good news. In a way.

It's so vaguely worded it tells us nothing, really. Or I think people wouldn't have dismissed it as uninteresting the first time around.

Whoever told Teatime kind of misrepresented facts, yes. If the article actually stated that Fallout 3 was out of pre-production it'd be a different matter, but it doesn't.

The fact that a larger team has been working on Fallout 3 since Oblivion is widely known, but it won't hurt as frontpage news. Suffer thinks there are always readers to whom this will be news.

PC Gamer or PC Zone? Different magazines, I stopped buying PC Zone after their arse licking review of Oblivion but I had a quick glance at the latest (september) issue and didn't see anything. Though the newsagent was breathing down my neck.

You may be in luck, funnily enough while I didn't see anything about FO3 in my quick flick through, PC Zone did have a review of a new (?) Fallout collection in their budget section.

Amazon UK sells the Fallout collection (1+2+T) for £9, Amazon US doesn't.

Strange things are happening around the making of Fallout 3.
Who knows what will come next.
Me thinks we still shall have to suffer.8)

It's at least some news...

How "new" do you think the first concept art of van Buren was? (the gasbot for example). Most of the game companies probably work more or less in the same way (finance probably rules some work...as always) and if they for example created and released the gasbot-concept to the general public (or someone nicked it) in three months...maybe they would do that at Bethesda too..pretty please...

I just can't wait to see some more development news. It's right about now that they are deciding whether we'll get the traditional "top-down" view or first-person. Let's hope they think about us when making this decision....

... and that they will read the damn Fallout Bible!
