Fallout 3 teaser site updated

BTW, there is an M-rating image on the site, so looks like the game has finally been rated by the ESRB.
 
I dunno, I really liked it.

The way the Vault-Tec commercial turns into an emergency broadcast, and then it trails off into static...
It's like the last snippet from a way of life that is gone forever.
For me, it does bring back nice Fallout memories.
 
Heh, is it just me or is that wind sound that plays from the website every now and then taken from Morrowind?

Other than that...just a promotional video, seems rather ok. I hope they upload something more substantial in the future.

I wouldn't mind some sandstorms in Fallout 3 like the Morrowind ones, you know something that will make you seek shelter. Maybe it could even affect combat, to hit probabilities lowered would make melee combat in sandstorms a blast.
 
So I decided to cheat and pretend I'm from the UK (if only!) - and I must say, it ain't half bad.

It's a pretty well done teaser site, if you ask me. Them fellows know their PR.
 
I wish they released valuable information instead of...that. Other than this, I don't have any problem whatsoever with the teaser. Oh, yeah, except the "every kid wants one of these under the christmas tree" lame-ass joke which has gone for far too long, Todd.
 
I think new trailer shows effort. They deserve an apple for that.

Although, the presenter did say VATs is for use in the Post-Apocalyptic wasteland, and not for protection from the invading Chinese.

If Todd want to pimp a gun as "cool" and something that "every kid wants one of those under the christmas tree", he should pimp something that is really cool in Fallout:

Power Armor
Miniguns
Revolvers
Laser/Plasma Weapons
Gauss Guns

Fatman = FAIL. If someone finds a way to mod this game, he should switch it with a "Plasma Artillery" that fires Plasma Containament Bottles. There, no more nukular bombs. Say hello to a big-ass one-man-in-power-armor artillery weapon that fires a small bottle that turns into a storm of green plasma death as soon as it hits the ground. Now THAT would be cool!
 
quite liked the video.
as for how it ran and all the jitteryness of it i wasn't too sure it was meant to be like that so managed to download the actual file that the website streams and it runs a LOT better. both FF and IE ran it like a dead frog for me but the .flv runs sweet as a nut.
tried upping it to youtube but it cant convert it into an acceptable format to run :/
i could put it on some free upload file site if anyone's actually bothered about getting the raw file.

Yeah I mean, even adults would want a Turbo Plasma Rifle under their Christmas tree. Who hasn't fantasized about bringing one of those to work and melting coworkers' faces? Right? Not just me? :|
