I liked how in the V.A.T.S. PSA that they completely skipped the "How it works" part.

That's the best part of any ol' timey commercial!

But nope, they probably can't even think of a proper way to explain how V.A.T.S. works in-game.

Other than that, it was pretty meh.

I didn't get any stuttering. There was a vertical hold effect, a film grain effect, and static when the channel was "changed".

I'm getting the impression that their site can't handle the traffic. I'm in the Netherlands, there's no option to click that country, so I just went with the UK like I always do.

Either that or they've made a retarded version (perhaps just for me). With stutter I mean the sound. There's hardly a sentence spoken without distortion, 'lag', stutter, making certain parts barely comprehensible. Film grain and television-screen 'texture' are normal, well-accepted effects. But the amount of static and interruptions soon gets very very annoying for me. And it's not just when 'channels' are changing.

Oh well, luckily nobody forces me to watch or appreciate dungpiles.

It may just me, but I kinda got the impression at the end there that you were watching it and the static kicked in as the bombs began to fall and then the signal went bye bye.

But that could entirely just be my overactive imagination kicking in.

And what do you mean trying to rip off fallout 1's intro....Ya'll are complaining about the series not being fallout enough, and now when they do something that is completely in line with the other games they are just trying to rip them off????

It was entertaining, I love the make Mr. Bad go away or whatever it said.

Was the suttering, part of the video? In any case, it looks like a big mess wothout anything interesting in it. Though the kid holding the fatman part, really bugs me. Some time ago i said that the nuclear catapult was put in the game purely as a gimmick and it seems i was spot on. They are showing off the damn thing everywhere.

It's just a trailer, Gstaff said himself that when they update the site it won't show anything ingame just bits and pieces of things. It's not supposed to give any info, maybe in a trailer next month.

That would work if the launcher was what they used for the Rock-It launcher (and I would much prefer it over the one they use) but they claim that it's a military prototype so this plain doesn't make sense. I'm with Wazzup, it's a gimmick to attrack more "casual" and action gamers to the game.

I think the vid stuttered to hint that there was a war going on while it aired, hence the interference. That is just a guess, though. While the video was a letdown and didn't show any new footage they did the same shit with the previous teaser right before they released an actual gameplay video. So yeah, if you are going to take anything away from that piece of shit I'd say you should take away the fact that we'll have another gameplay video soon. end transmission.

Edit: oh yeah, why the fuck would a kid have a Fat Man if they are a custom made schematic that came into existence AFTER the bombs dropped? Can that child travel in time? What the fuck? They don't even have continuity in their own fucked up bizarro universe. That is some seriously weak shit.

Regarding the kid with the FatMan, I think Todd loved his "Every kid wants one of these under the Christmass Tree" joke a bit too much.
You know, he's like one of those guys who tell a joke nobody laughs at, but they keep repeating it anyway thinking the others just didn't get it.
