Fallout 3 teaser site updated

Edit: oh yeah, why the fuck would a kid have a Fat Man if they are a custom made schematic that came into existence AFTER the bombs dropped? Can that child travel in time? What the fuck? They don't even have continuity in their own fucked up bizarro universe. That is some seriously weak shit.

The Fatman is not custom-made from a schematic, the Rock-it-Launcher is.

Ah, my mistake. It looks shitty enough to be a custom made, though.

Great Stuff to put some subliminal messages and try to brainwash us into buying this great game ( :o it's working already).

They've got retro and humour (mileage may vary) down but they are forgetting the dark and future bits.

However the Protectron was frikkin awesome.

Though what is it with people getting Vault-Tec and West Tek mixed up. Leads me to believe that Beth have been reading the PoS design documents.

Where are you seeing people mix up Vault-Tec and West Tek? And why would Bethesda have anything to do with that?

I like it and hope there's live action in the game.

Dear god no. Live action in games is dead, as it rightfully should be.

I hope, for all things holy, that we don't see a single bit of live-action footage in FO3.

Again, I am saying I think the supposed "fatman" in the vid is just a toy. I don't think the kid is holding an actual working fatman in the game world....

I mean geez I had a toy disintegrator ray when I was a kid and a toy fusion cannon.

Heck even my toy Megatron had a fusion cannon.

You are WRONG comrade. It is alive and well, and so is MOTHER RUSSIA!

Live action in Fallout 3 from Bethesda would be icing on the cake.

It's a cake i won't eat in a million years, but live action video would certainly top it off.

I'm not even allowed to enter - on the 'select your country' page, my country isn't listed.

Damn racists.

As someone looking forward to FO3 I found the new video to be kinda lame. Felt like they were trying too hard to make something that it failed at. Way too much chopping in of the "Please stand by" logo...

Heh, seems that no one noticed that they finally admitted that VATS really is:
"In other words, VATS let's you pause for a moment..."
:)
The movie is pretty cool.

They're really annoying with this "Enter your birth date" everywhere.

Is it really that big of a deal? maybe if you didnt have to continually clear your cookies in fear of your grandma finding out your browser porn history you would only be burdened to enter a date once and that would be that

Some parts of the trailer and teaser are pretty pathetic. Good that I like fps games, maybe I find something interesting in fallout 3.

I liked it. sure, it wasn't perfect and there was a bit too much static and shit. but I loved the feel of it and I like how they're putting this much effort into setting the mood for the game.

you should see it as a positive thing that they're this concerned about having a 50's feel, instead of just saying they will and then just doing it half-assed.

oh, and yes - it's definitely supposed to look like the bombs are going off while watching the video. if you listen to the chopped up message it really sounds like a warning that people should hurry to the vaults if they've signed up.

It is a bit annoying and unnecessary. The Fallout 3 site is often pretty unresponsive, to then have to go through not one but TWO completely unnecessary screens is a bit annoying.

There is no legalistic difference between a "tell us your age" screen and a "I hereby certify I am 18 or over". So one button would do. Language selection is stupid, just set the standard to English and allow options from the main page.

It's just bad design. It's no wonder people get annoyed by it. Big deal? In the same way bad website design in general is, I guess.

I totally agree, I thought this was just downright awful. I actually somewhat enjoyed the first live action video (E3 trailer), but this just had no point. This seemed like a total waste of time, money, and energy that could have been spent making the game better which, by many accounts, it may need.
