Fallout 3d Models > is it possibile?

Well it was just an option. Its easier to make total conversion with some ready to use engine then make them from scratch. Ok. Good luck guys !!!

We make some progress. Currently I'm still trying to match it into game view.

Here are some ingame screenshots:

it still needs a lot of tweaks.

Wow  is all I can say.

Keep in mind that original models aren't perfect, so don't hestitate to alter them a bit.

Why are you using some front, left, back random references? You'll never match character in this way - it's only a time wasting. The only reference should be the screenshot(s), nothing more.

I don't get You. What references I have to use? Screenshot with only one reference, one of this from my image? It is screenshot from mapper, whole body was created before and now I modify it to match game references. Point is not to lose FO 1/2 viewport characteristic and make it as much similar to game as we are able to.

Here is reference model (I'm proud of :P) :

I meant this. But now I see that it was only used to create that base mesh posted above, am I right?

-----------------------EDIT

I've been working on similar project as you're working now. But instead of male I started from female. To create a male I simply changed female mesh. Mesh was looking pretty retarded, and lulzy (especially legs ), but was similar to original critter.

exactly and now I'm tweeking it with some ingame sprites

also in reference pose, so until it is not rigged it never match it perfect

EDIT ----------------------------------------------------- *

I saw it :) Maybe You may help us with that?

English version is vaporware. Get the German, or Polish one, apply English text mod and play.
It's funny they have russian, spanish, german and polish versions but no english...

Who the fuck needs english nowdays? :>

Guess it was a lack of publishers in english territory. If back then it would be like today with download stuff, they could have made and sold it on their own, without other needs. But well.

I like the game, it's cool. And modding isn't that hard too. As example, I made my own weapon mod in approx three hours. And I started a small quest mod with new map some time ago. I couldn't finish it yet, because I am not really in the mood... but just because I am too lazy to write dialogs now.

Sorry, but no. At least not now. I know how stupid and annoying this work is :yuck: Since everything related to critters is about goddamn pixels... one pixel moar here or there = different dimension of the frame = Frames Offset fucked = shitty looking movement animation. But if you seriously think about reconstruction project you should go for some "universal" file format, so others can join in any time without "I can't open file because I'm working on different software than you" type of problem. Multi-platform solution is needed.

Who the fuck needs other language than English nowdays? Why waste a money for 10 different localizations? People who're doing this aren't volunteers. Every game I own is English version or is de-localized into English, since I can't play games in my native language :o My patriotism went to hell obviously :ugly:

In FOnline engine, we don't have to mess with frame offsets in critters anymore. :P Or lets say... in more or less sooner future, we will not care anymore about this.

Doesn't need to. It will always be possible to render the critters + animation into 2D images fit for Fallout 2. But yeah, then the offsets could become a problem again, because of a small image size or whatever.

Also keep in mind, FOnline engine will be released sooner or later and can be used for everything else as well. :>
