Why the Hell would we need a diving suit when that one Endurance perk from the base game literally turns us into Aquaman, able to breath underwater and make ourselves immune to underwater radiation? DUH! (please shoot me, the fact that that perk exists in Fallout makes me want to die)
Well, deep water pressure.
I'm gonna play the devil's advocate for a bit here. You guys are judging it a bit quick.
Judging it quick my ass. Unless they specifically chose to hide almost all new art assets
I'm gonna play the devil's advocate for a bit here. You guys are judging it a bit quick. I mean I'm not going to buy it, because Bethesda already proved to me that FO4 is broken beyond repair, and so paying for something that would add nothing would be pointless, but it doesn't look AS BAD as you guys make it out to be.
Did we watch the same trailer? Cause I see an awful lot of reusing art assets and barely any new ones.
TBF, We can't assume already that this is going to break cannon lore. Those Geckos may not be Geckos, and that Synth Valentine might not be Nicky. You can't be 100% sure
W-what? Are you talking about the synth at the end or literally Nick Valentine? They've stated that the synths don't really have true AI but that it is copied off of humans and there's only 1 of each so why would there be two Nick Valentines? And why would they wear the same clothes?
To be fair, Fallout New Vegas' trailer is just shown as a bunch of areas, and a bit of shooting around. You can't expect every trailer to show off the story and the factions.
Yeah, and it sucked arse too. At least with FNV we got interviews and shit detailing what the game was going to be like. Bethesda gives us silence and a shitty trailer.
I Don't really judge them here, as Black Isle Studios reused assets a lot of the time, yet they still made decent Fallout games. Bethesda did a lot of things wrong , but IMO reusing assets isn't one of them.
Difference here is the size of the teams, the budget available to them and the time spent developing the titles as well as the time periods Fallout 1/2 and FO4 was developed in. Also, Fallout was meant to be a bit abstract because of its perspective and turn-based combat. Fallout 4 is going for a literal interpretation of shit from a first person perspective, they ain't allowed the same excuse.
Personally I just think that it looks like a rushed repeat of Fallout 4 as well as that it looks aged and dated. Those are my big criticisms on it and they'e backed up by the trailer as well as Fallout 4 itself. So no,
I'm not judging it too soon. Maybe others are but from what I've seen the trailer backs up the shitflinging that's happening here.
