Fallout 2 mod Fallout: Nevada (extended)

How big is this mod?
Are you serious?!XD
Very big my friend, as big as Fallout 2... In 1 year we had somewhere around 10 translators come and go, we have 3 English text editors, and we'll need voiceover people and instaler modders and there still will be things left.
It's big, you will find yourself spending hours playing since there is no English guides, trial and error will be your friends here

It wouldn't hurt to make a few threads at different sites - RPG Codex for instance...to build the excitement. This will be a major Fallout release when it hits the shelf.

Every time there's some kind of major progress (like Dionis's post above yours) I posted on a thread in RPGCodex about it, and they're legit excited for it. Though, this time I probably gonna post when it hit 90%.

Also @Dionis since this is legit pretty big mod with huge word count, I'm kind of concerned with the editing and stuff like that. Do you need more editors, even though you're nearing 90%? I've asked for some more help in the Codex to contact you, but it seemed like I'm not loud enough or serious enough when asking.

From what I understand, editing will be a whole new phase. After the raw translation is done, most of the translators are getting converted for editing. Hopefully it'll be easier to find more people for that. (Aren't some of the members, like, writers and stuff?)

Ah, then that means even if the translation is 100%, there would a whole new phase of editing before the translation is 'officially' released? Maybe I'll share that recent progress after all AND add to that asking for some more help with editing in the Codex.

When you are done with translating I'd love to help with editing! I would be happy to do one of the medium size settlements.
If I'm not mistaken, I already send you files in the past but there was no response from you...
Nevermind if you still want to help then contact our editing director Snikers http://www.nma-fallout.com/members/snikers.62085/ all the editing process goes through him.

But keep in mind you must have at least some decent knowledge in English language and writing, and as well you must know Fallout 1&2 games. The structure of text files and things you should watch out for will be explained to you or you can check your mail box to see the guide I sent you.
Contact him he will give you some files to see how you'll do.

Yes we need editors ASAP, if you can spread the word we would appreciate it, and don't worry too much about the editing, we have a lot of stuff edited already, Snikers and TC1 were working on it since the beginning of the translation.

Sorry people I'm having some technical issues on my old ass PC (it's an old Dell with 1 gb ram :( so don't ask, I got two bloated capacitors on the motherboard, so I will have to replace them) I will get back as soon as possible, I tried to translate on my tablet but it seems to be very difficult.

Either good enough english to spot various errors or advanced enough to make the dialogue sound more natural and fallout-esque.

Ok people here are the news!
Unfortunately Drobovik had some personal issues and could not do the translation, so almost every file he had will be done by me or by someone else who is willing to help further with the translation.
My PC died, but I kept all backup files and always kept organized, so I was able to work on my tablet, it's a lot more challenging so my own translation will be slower, sorry, but don't expect miracles from us and get the full raw translation any time "too" soon.
If anyone is disappointed believe me I am too, working on this project with so many amazing people is one of the best thing that happened to me in recent years.
Also so everyone is warned I will be moving to Holland for work in a month so it may affect the speed of the project even more... But know this I always try to work on the text no matter what, it's just so many unexpected and unpleasant things happen in real life that I can hardly focus on this thing, that's why Snikers being a kind guy he is took the direction of our editing, so I don't have to worry about everything at the same time.
