They haven't been touched yet, intro has nothing that important right now, it will be done when we finish the translation 100%

oh ok thanks for the quick response.

I plan to test the stuff translated so far, will report any typos , translation bugs etc.

Great, thank you Bloodlust.
But please test only the locations that are edited:
Vault City
Jerlach
Black Rock
Lovelock
Bridgeport
Everything else haven't been edited so checking on those is waste of work right now, its playable but unpolished. Also Pip-Boy documents are unedited too.
If you wish to help in editing then please let me know, I will send you one location as a whole package, I have every city broken down in files just for such purpose.
If you find anything seriously wrong then PM me

Thats good that u want to finish 1.02 first cuz i already playing on 1.02 with 0.08 translation. i moved my saves from previous messed version to the new installer u gave today and its work.

Will there be an english installer when it's released? Or will we need to install the translation manually?
Can't wait to play it!!! (waiting for that PM from you, ready to make the premiere BIG at least in Poland)

Thank you Sagez, nice that you remind me that, honestly there's so much stuff going on, its hard to focus.
We still have editing after we done translation and make it playable, then integration into new version, cutscene translation, credits... There is a lot of stuff. Like right now Risewild is working on missing buttons on the map, while 4 other people work on their texts. Please don't judge me too hard if I forget to PM you(even if I try my best not to forget), a lot of things came crushing on us lately.

Just stopping by (long time lurker) to say - Thank you !

I am really interested in playing Nevada in English. In past I even tried to play it in Russian since my native language is also a Slavic language, but playing in similar but separate language AND in diffrent alphabet (my language uses Latin alphabet) was a bit too much as it took way too long to understand text.

So anyway - thank you for doing this translation :)

How's New Reno editing going? Perhaps a new update to the translation version once Reno is done? Yeah I know I got greedy but FoN is so amazing :(

I'm glad you like the translation.
I'm not very good at editing, so everything depends on people that work now and the ones that will join in the future. We have a very faithful and talented editor but he might drop out of the project soon(because he's tired doing everything himself), and there's another one that is working on Uranium City. Other than that it's disappointing really that there's very few people from US or UK that are willing to help in a project made for English speaking audience.
Regarding translation, it all depends on people that have the last files on their hands, I currently have no files except Pip-Boy file that I honestly find boring to translate in one sitting, it's not that important anyway so I will do it in time as we move forward on improving the overall quality.
I'm not sure about edited Reno( not completely anyway) but I'm sure guys are finishing their files, there's one or two files left for each one. So yep you can expect 100% dialog translation, but edited cities might take time, it all depends.

I don't much experience in this field but I am from the US I can help with editing if you need it.

I'm editing the New Reno translations. I have good news and bad news: the good news is that New Reno has a HUGE amount of content and, as good as the previous sections are, New Reno is even better. The bad news is that it's taking me a long time to get through it all - I'm not exaggerating when I say it probably has more dialogue than Vault City, Black Rock, Gerlach and Cheyenne put together.

How can I install this mod so I can try it out with the English translations available so far? Do I install it into the Fallout 2 folder? Which options do I pick with the installer?

We should use something like kickstarter to raise money and then hire Russians who know English to translate the rest of the mod for us.

It is bigger than those combined brother, Reno has almost broken this project twice because of its size.

It's already translated by Russians for free... We need American and British editors.
What do you mean by "editors"? Do you mean Americans and Brits to fix the broken English? Then sign me up! I'm a native English speaker(American) and I will be happy to help with this project for free. I have almost zero knowledge of Russian though... But I can easily edit broken English to make it more readable for native English speakers.
