Fallout 2 mod Fallout: Nevada (extended)

I'm kind of curious, Foxx. Do you happen to be a part of Nevada/Sonora team? Because it seems like you're always up for sharing small patches and fixes for Nevada (AND for the CE, no less), and also happens to be the one who always be sharing the juicy stuff about Sonora's development.

Anyway, @Dionis do you have an ETA on when will the translation finally reached the Definitive Edition™? Someone is asking over at the Codex, and when will an English installer promised by _Pyran_ would ever get released. Or perhaps I missed something about it somewhere in this thread?
I can't tell when it will be ready, but it will eventually, right now it's just me.
I would give an estimated finish time but I'm forced to travel in few days and will be gone for couple of weeks, after I come back I can probably calculate how much time the editing will take.
As for English installer maybe @Foxx will talk to Alex Poshelyuzin so they can upload the English version on the official site;-)

Add more translated names of the characters. Unpack into the folder PREMADE: https://yadi.sk/d/oysz1j2e3YC6iw

Thank you for the names fix Foxx, I was looking to for those.

For some reason, I keep crashing whenever I enter the Slaver's Town area of Las Vegas. No matter if I enter it through the worldmap on foot or on car, or try to enter them manually by walking pass the Caravans Parking Area + Hard Rock Cafe, it always crash.

Before applying the new translation (v2.91), I also had a save in Slaver's Town, that one keep crashing seconds into loading it. Then I loaded a save before that one, and the problem is gone. Now that I'm back and want to enter Slaver's Town, the problem returns.

I will test it, maybe this is a new script fixes that broke the game, or something else. Either way I will fix it immediately because it sounds serious.

Just to make it clear, this problem only appears after I applied the v2.91 translation patch. The save was made when it was still v2.9, and it was fine. Only after applying v2.91, just by being in the Slaver's Town the game would crash. Even if I try to revert back to v2.9 by copy-pasting it into Nevada folder with v2.91 translation patch, the problem persisted.

The problem is there when you try to apply the old patch is because v2.9 doesn't contain the script that v2.91 has, so you don't actually overwrite it just stays there. I will send you the backup script so you can see for yourself.

Does entering Slavertown or loading a save in that area crash the game for anybody else?

Everything works fine for me with my own saves, but I crash with his save. None of the changed scripts should at all interact with Slavertown...

If it's any help, this PC just recently undergone a new OS installation (from Win 7 to Win 8). But since the Nevada mod was saved in the Local Disk (D:), and my uncle who performed the OS installation is an experienced computer technician, most of the stuff in the Local Disk (D:), including Nevada, pretty much stayed intact. The only thing I needed to do was to reinstall the DirectX files like the .dll files, and that's it. I played through the game normally without any problem, and was able to move around Slaver's Town and had to save right there. Before starting to play again, I applied the 2.91 patch and it was there the crashing problem in the Slaver's Town became apparent to me.

@Black Angel now that you mention changing OS, I changed my old XP to win10 just few days ago and strangely now even vanilla russian mod with no translation applied wont run slaver's town. This is the message I get when trying to enter.
@Foxx do you know what might be causing this?

You mean that it won't run Slaver's Town in Black Angel's save or in your own save? It really seems like Black Angel's save has been corrupted somehow (like through the reinstallation of the OS)...

The numbers were different, but yeah, that's exactly the problem (memory reference could not be written). Just recently a guy posted at the Codex saying how he's crashing at Slaver's Town also. But he hasn't mentioned any changes to his PC. Need to wait for his confirmation if OS changes indeed caused this problem.

There's still one thing bogging me, though. Even after OS change, my mod at v2.9 translation patch only really needed me to reinstall DirectX .dll files and that's it. I can still play around Slaver's Town just fine, and then I had to save right there. When I get back, I immediately applied the new v2.91 translation patch and it was then that the problem starts to occur.

Which ones? Can you send dll files to me, my game runs without installing anything but maybe that's why vanilla slaver's town isn't running anymore.
In fact I don't remember doing anything with dll files.

My game runs perfectly with the translation v2.91 applied, no need to install dll files. Here is the screenshot I just took. Strange because vanilla doesn't.
Maybe we already fixed that in the past... @Black Angel have you tried playing without messing with dll?
Edit: nevermind I ran your save file and it still crashes... I have no idea what it is.

Yeah so @Black Angel's save crashes in Slavertown in any of the recent versions, 2.8, 2.9 and 2.91. Replacing his ncr3.sav (slavertown area) file with one of your own fixes the issue but since the map variables etc in the save are set to different values the area becomes useless. This issue seems really shady and the fact that it suddenly occured with 2.91, which changes nothing in or related to slavertown, makes it even shadier. Let's hope @Foxx has some wisdom to share with us... if not, let's just hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
