Generally I’ll pre-order both copies of the game, pre-paying half on both of them; and when the game comes out I try to see both of them running before I cancel the one I don’t want.

Wait, why do you pre-order them?

I’m a consumer whore, and I just have to get their hard, hot collectors editions and pre-order DLC on to my display shelf.
*Hangs head in shame*

Or you mean why do I order them both: because before seeing them run it’s hard to tell if the extra content is worth the hit in visuals/performance that the PS3 version often get.

I am a bit angry about this whole 'exclusive nonsense' as Fallout New Vegas appeared on more than just the Xbox360.

But this DLC and the following ones will probably come to the PC sooner or later, and to be honest the concept doesn't sound that thrilling.

I am interested in learning if there will be new locations and critters/enemies.

Oh, and Fable 3 was initially scheduled for simultaneous Xbox 360 and PC launch. Now the PC version has been "delayed indefinitely".

Actually it's going to be released around December - February. /Ausir.
Sketchy but hopefully it won't take as long to come out as Bioshock 2's "Minerva's Den" to come out on PC.

Also this DLC really needs some fizz to it. At least Beth's had things that drew your attention.

Dead money? Sounds more like a waste of money.
Truth!

Are fable and ass erect still xbawks exclusives?
Does it matter? Fable is bullshit and Mass Effect... well, uh. No, it's on PC, sadly.

Wonder how much real development time will go into it. Last time Bethesda wrote about DLCs, they said something like making them bigger and not every month anymore, if I remember correct (not sure tho'). If the first DLC comes out now in late december, it's a long time, at least on paper... maybe it will have some more content then as well.
Now, now, Lexx, you should know better than to believe anything Bethsoft says.

Either way, don't buy this crap, just go get mods. Unless you're a console player, then you're fucking doomed anyways for your bad choices.

Yeah, I SURE am missing out on all the great mods. Like the mods that make the game look marginally better, all the porn, and an onslaught of weapons and houses. Why should I want something made by a professional developer?

It might be interesting, IF they add a new territory to explore maybe make it a long lost area kinda like the SAD, maybe make the Sierra Madre have a secret (Possibly Poseidon-related) past, I'd be all for it.

The best Fallout 3 quest mod has been Claw Peak. Not sure if there ever was a english version released though...

Sounds pretty damned r-tarded, having everything to do with Vegas and nothing to do with Fallout. I suspect this was Beth's idea and they made Obsidian develop it.

I agree that "dead money"sounds (so far) lame, but I highly doubt that Beth has anything to do with this. This Obisidian's baby right here!

This could be a start of small DLC packages to keep us entertained until some expansion pack or large DLC comes along to take us back west. Since there seems to be a location (possibly 2) in game that leads to that train of thought as does the fact that the new DLC doesn't seem to offer a new location.

Damn, I love these excuses.

I mean, I like Obsidian, they make pretty good games (thought not everyone thinks the same way) and I dislike Bethesda because they haven't made an enjoyable game since Morrowind, but you can't just blame Bethesda for every single thing when there's no evidence behind it.

My feelings for this are luke warm. It's a comfort that Obsidian are making it, and not Bethesda, giving hope for an involving story; but the premise still doesn't quite grab my attention. I doubt it will offer more than a couple of hours of gameplay at most, and that makes the price tag seem a bit steep. It's to be expected from a Bethesda release, however: They have a tendency to charge a lot of money for very little - or very cheaply made - content (Horse Armour or Knights of the Nine, for example) that make you feel cheated if you ever make the mistake of buying them. Like I said, I doubt Obsidian will employ similar strategies of ripping off their own fans when they develop their games and DLC's, but since Bethesda handles finance, I wouldn't put it past them if they deliberately overcharge the product. That being said, I'll have to wait for the PC-version anyway before I can make a definite decision. I'll probably keep my eyes peeled for feedback - from trusted sources - on the quality, and whether it's actually worth 800 points.

so, if I understand clearly some of you, this DLC wil suck, because

1) Fallout New Vegas is a real/great Fallout game.
2) Obsidian developed it.
3) Obsidian made the DLC.
4) so the DLC will suck.

OH YEAH OF COURSE THAT'S LOGIC(L)AL

I'll wait to play it to discuss that, but since I love this game, I'm confident.

So the Casino in DLC is called Sierra Madre? There was a sign "We`ve gone to sierra madre" in Abandoned BoS Bunker. Mybe it will have something to do with BoS or their former Elder?

I'm quite sure this location will be involved as it's been permanently locked in 1.01 patch.

Another Casino? I know there's a Vegas theme but :/. Wonder where it'll be, Sierra Madre as a real place is fairly deep into California.

Back when horse armour came out it was pretty much new ground for everyone, since they were one of the few companies offering any kind of DLC at all. The horse armour was... $2.50? They've even admitted that they had very little to compare with, so it was hit and miss with earlier content. The price isn't that different from any other "clothing" type DLC. If you bought horse armour and felt cheated, I'm not sure what you were expecting. It seems pretty clear what the content contained.

As for Knights of the Nine that's like 800 live points, which is the same you'll pay for just about any DLC. And if 800 points is too much, wait a couple months because usually DLCs go on sale quite frequently. I only paid 400 for 4 of 5 F3 DLCs.

NV DLC will probably be 800 points if it's comparative in size to any F3 DLC.

Wow, there are people who actually believe the lame half-excuses Bethesda put out for horse armor. If it was truly hit and miss, and it was clearly miss, why have they continued selling it at that price?

Feel free to waste your money on clothing packs, but please don't waste our times trying to actually excuse those total rip-offs.
