Looks like there's gonna be plenty of silly fun to be had...

The game looks kinda stupid, in a Postal 2 way but the trailer makes it look more entertaining than Fallout 3.

    Ok. Fine.

Could we please get a proper Fallout 1 sequel someday though ?

Sequels are never perfect, the closest you can get is Fallout 2. And by the way the gaming industry is descending into the mainstream casual world I doubt we'll ever see an isometric Fallout 1-esque game again whether we like it or not.

You just have to get past the acceptance stage and deal with it.

No clue if its a Chop. but Woha. Those screenshots finally look somewhat bearable to my eyes.

On the other side. I really really really hope we will see the .223 Pistol/url]

Anything else would be a disappointment !

Or he would not be Ausir, the Watcher ;)

Yeah I know but I wasn't talking about isometric view...

More about getting a serious, dark Fallout game with no South Park feel whatsoever.

-Crucifiction! Thats kinda ballsy thing to have in game.

    Con:
-Caesars leginionists look stypid and seem to be idiots without tactics. (like c'mon, why couldnt few ncr rangers with m16's whipe 'em off?)

Kind of a stretch, but I wonder if the sign in this screen

Is supposed to be a reference to the band Revolting Cocks

For the same reason the Enclave with all its Vertibirds would not launch an aerial attack and whipe the Citadel before Liberty Prime is repaired...

I have to say, I like it. Not the action focussed trailer, but we awaited it to be so. The first rendersequence is nice, I like the look of the desert there. The graphics arent that horrible as I thought. Some armors look good, the huge variation in critters is also nice.

Well, to me, all so far shown new armors are much better than everything we got in Fallout 3. I saw a lot clothes now, which I would like to try out in the game. Compared to Fallout 3... I either use the combat armor, which looks ugly too or the T-51b power armor. Beside this two, the duster is the only alternative to me. All other armors are shitty from my optical point of view.

well, one thing is for certain: I'm getting way more Fallout vibes from this than I ever got from FO3.

I didn't think the trailer was that bad. actually, I kinda enjoyed it. animations still look like crap and there are some weapons that made me think "wtf?!" but in general it made the game look like a lot of fun and definitely a lot more varied than FO3. in FO3 everything looked the same.

    I used two armors in FO3 - Reilly's Combat Armor and T51b.
    Loved them both.

    I ... don't like it.

From what it looks like, it's just more of pretty much the same as Fallout 3. Yeah. I know. It had to. What else would it be.

Guess I am way naive in my hope for anything that looks and feels less like 3, and more like Fallout 1 or 2. No matter how much I attempt or pretend to like this, I just can't bring myself to look at this and ... be convinced. Sigh.

My idea of a modernized version of Fallout would probably look more like Dragon Age. Not the setting of course. But how the camera works, for instance. I do admit I was sure that at least this time, my bets are on the best horse - the original team, at least in part. And I'm sure they do a *much* better job with what they have to work with.

Guess I'll end up buying this and hoping it doesn't make me feel as empty on the inside as the previous Fallout 3 and it's DLC.

Funny you. How could this be with no Enclave in it since Enclave turned out to be so coolish in F3?

Doubtful. Revolving bars and restaurants are pretty common (in the U.S. at least) for high rise areas and places with a view.

    It's GTA Las Vegas.

@the other Strip-Screenshots. You can see that the place looks pretty big. Regardless of everything else, I like this. The 10m² big cities in Fallout 3 have been so... urg...

That Eyebot might suggest the Enclave appearing again, whether in the main game or through DLC.

I can see it. You find an Eyebot with a recording on it. You go to the location it tells to find some Enclave. Let's brainstorm here:

    A. They could be derelict Enclave soldiers much like how the D.C. BoS spawned the Outcasts and they need your help for something.

    B. They're actual Enclave soldiers in a war with the BoS and the BoS have rebuilt Liberty Prime and the Enclave need your help.

    C. It's Col. Autumn!

    D. It's a trap!

Or that Eyebot was a stray and there won't be any Enclave.

I'm saying it's a stray that managed to get from D.C. to Vegas. I mean, you blew the Enclave's base up fucking three times. I don't think they have the capability to go west.
