Fallout New Vegas RPG

Oh Jesus fucking Christ. Not another stupid Brahmin!

I kid, I kid.

Anyway, you'll have to run it by with Raven assuming she ever comes back. I think she mentioned somewhere that she wants all companions to be checked with her. I doubt a Brahmin will cause much of a fuss, but you never know.

DESCRIPTIONS:
Motor-Mouth is a member of the 80s Tribe from Northern Nevada,
(The 80s: The 80s are a tribe of raiders that live in northern Nevada, near the shores of the Great Salt Lake. Their territories border with those of the White Legs.
The 80s are known for raiding frontier towns for supplies and kidnapping people. They are rightly feared for their ability to cover large areas of land with very few men.
The 80s are a tribe of raiders that operates along the Northern California 80 Freeway, mostly in the region northeast of the lawless, uncontrolled city of Sacramento. They are easily recognized by the "80" signs they wear strapped across their chests. High-ranking members usually have the Interstate 80 red and blue signs. Lower-ranking members wear green Highway 80 signs and the ordinary grunts make do with what is left over. The 80s are known for their tireless pursuit of enemies and for their occasional use of motorcycles. )

Motor-Mouth is a pretty cheery fellow despite his background, he likes to talk and talk (hence his name) but he is not particularly articulate, but neither is he stupid by any extension of the word. He abandoned his tribe to explore the wasteland with the help of his motorcycle wich he keeps maintained regularly. Not caring about faction war or politics eh just enjoys the ride.

Bio:
Motor-Mouth was born "Mathias" to a Caravan guard traveling through the 80s Freeway, the violent tribe killed the caravan and the guards and stole all the provisions, but found a newborn baby in the Brahmin cart, so they just decided to raise the kid in their tribe.
Mathias grew to be a very violent warrior, but a very cheery person, not having any actual relative in the tribe he became a very curious person, always asking questions about everything and breaking things in pieces just to learn whatever eh could from them, the only way he had to learn anything at all, everytime they raided a Caravan he went for the books, magazines and relatively useless machines instead of the weapons, or food, or tail. getting bored with the life of a Raider Motor Mouth decided to abandon them and travel the highways the caravans they attacked traveled, he always wondered where did they got all the thigns they were carrying and to whom they were gonna give them. So one night Mathias just took one of the Motorcycles and rode away, leaving the tribe behind.
He has been making a life out of repairing broken electronics and vehicles and lending his skills as a warrior to caravans, all while hiding his alliegance to the 80s. He has no destination in mind, he just enjoys the trip.

That was until he took the wrong turn in his trip to the Crimson caravan HQ in the Mojave and got atatcked by Fiends and dangerosu wildlife, damaging his motorcycle and forcing him to run away on foot.

Nice character, let's hope Yasmin comes back soon, we've gathered quiet a few people on this adventure while she is away.

Fuck. Fuckfuckfuck. Sorry. I feel like a massive douchebag. I didn't mean to run off and disappear, I swear. I just got so frustrated because I've asked you guys not to change/create the content like places before, and it was just like ''Well, if they haven't learned by now, they aren't going to.'' so I wanted a break is all. Then after the break and my 21st (shittest birthday so far), I was so bummed out I had no drive to come back. And then for the past almost couple of weeks I've had no internet at home or on my phone. Finally got my phone working, though typing on it sucks, so please forgive any mistakes in spelling. But I am back now and will try to make it up to you guys with awesome plots. Thanks for not shooting my raider and running off with the story. I swear I'm not some drama queen who chucks a fit when she doesn't get her own way, honest. I'm usually really rational. I just needed a break, then the break turned into a lot more. But I'm sorry I left you guys stranded for so long. Tomorrow I'll try to get my laptop working so the description of the base can be changed and we can move forward.

That is,....if you all still want to?

I'm still here. We all need a break sometimes. I took a break from this once. But it wasn't all that noticeable since I'm a side character. Nice to have you back Raven. And you don't have to apologise about using your phone. I usually go on nma with my ipod. It's a bitch when you've typed a couple paragraphs and safari decides to crash, though.

I'm definitely still here. I'm sorry to hear that you're birthday didn't go well either. Sounds like Murphy's law was in full effect for you. Here's hoping things start looking up.

Well I just posted my character, and I have way too much free time right now, being in vacations and all.

Thanks guys. Murphy's Law is still kicking my ass and seems to be getting worse, but I'm going to use this RP as a way to keep myself busy and feel better. Laptop is still without net, but I have the description for the base written up. First thing I'll do when I get net is get that set so we can get moving again.

EDIT: Woooooh! Not pregnant! Ok, stuff is looking up.

Darkness, Walp, I've read your characters and they are both goos. Walp, your's especially should get along with Yas. Her dad was a mechanic, so they'd have cars and bikes in common and she gets along well with other raiders. Darkness, if you re character is going to be added here at the base, he won't have his brahmin. She'd have been turned into steaks. Are you ok just using Midas? They aren't really going to be able to move effectively if there's two brahmin and would become more of a caravan than a party. Let me know.

 . Oh. THAT'S what you meant by things haven't been going well...
...
...
*cough*
Moving on?

Good to have you back Raven.

Sorry about being late to the re-union, but yeah I would love to get back involved, past few weeks really dragged without this RP.

I guess congratulations for the non-pregnancy.

Hello,

I saw this RP and was hoping I could join in.
I have my character written if y'all need to take a look at it.

Name: James Crandall
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Occupation: Long Range reconnaissance
Family: status unknown, residing in the wilds of Bragg.

Physical Appearance: Appears to be a typical young man from the former state of North Carolina,
now the Carolina Union States. He's an average 6 foot tall white male, with an above average build,
as a result of his upbringing in the expanse of old Fort Bragg's training lands. Due to his family special forces heritage
before the Great war he keeps his dark brown hair semi unkept, as if he has been traveling for long periods or time, along with a
short but rough beard. If he ever needed to change his appearance he could simply shave the beard and buzz his head with an
ancient hand razor, kept solely for this purpose and given to him for his mission.

Apparel:
Ballistic rated sunglasses (surplus from IPE warehouse back at bragg)

Desert combat armor (standard combat armor but with a desert tan/khaki/coyote brown scheme, with paint just beginning to
scrape off in various high movement areas, showing fairly recent painting)

Combat boots (recently resoled just prior to crossing into the mojave)

Scavenged subdued ballcap with an embroidered bird like skeleton on the front

Various pouches on a vest worn over his combat armor, designed to carry magazines for his weapons and various other essential
gear.

An old military ruck.
Main Skills:
Small Guns
Survival
Speech

Weapons:
R91 assault rifle with variable 1x-4x sight
M1911
combat knife

Bio: Old Fort Bragg, one of the largest pre-war military bases in the US, at it's peak it encompassed around 251 square miles.
Prior to the great war the military had vaults, not as grand a scale of the Vault-Tek vaults, built into the various training
area of the base. Jame's ancestors were among the few hundred that managed to make it to the shelters survived. Fast forward
to the present, the tribe that resulted from the shelters open up to the outside world became a military structured one.
As time moved on the tribe became a community, having accepted outsiders, and was absorbed into the budding Carolina Union States.
Men and women from this community became well know for their warfare ability, the special forces doctrine kept consistent through
each generation. Eventually these men and women were to become the equivalent to the pre war Special Operation Forces for the CUS
military.

Enter the Crandall line, Jame's vault ancestor was a special forces soldier with the airborne special operations group,an
injury having kept him from deployment to any theater at the time of the Great War. The man took it upon himself to help
keep his doctrine alive through his descendants, knowing that the skills he was trained to teach would help in an
eventual post apocalyptic world. From a young age Jame's father taught him how to fight and survive out in the world. When James
turned 16 he was sent off to Bragg's basic forces training. In it he flourished and absorbed all he could from the training.

At the age of 20, being active for over four years he was chosen by his command to venture west till he reached the pacific ocean,
in search of other governments and states, in an effort to find allies. He is to return after reaching the pacific, taking an alternate route
back, and report what he has found. His training has given him the ability to fade into the local population, as well as gather information.
Prior to reaching the Mojave desert he managed to travel through legion controlled territory, witnessing many of the injustices
committed there. While he traveled though he found it considerably safer than a majority of his journey, rarely being attacked or accosted.

He also went through New Canaan, just before it fell to the White leg tribe, picking up a well made .45 pistol modeled after the M1911,
which he has kept well serviced through his travels in Legion land. He is now in the Mojave with intent on passing through vegas, and afterward
to the NCR.

Personality: James is a reserved man, and tends to keep important information to himself. If he is ever asked of his background he is
intentionally vague, careful to keep both his homeland and mission secret. He has however been trained on how to do so in such a
way that made people accept it. He's very good at putting things together, mentally wise, using what he knows of the local area
to beef up his conversations. He is a very honorable person, with a strong moral compass, going out of his way to help people when he can.

If its not good enough please let me know.

Oh, it's not just that. Other half is coming back to University this semester so he is quitting work and we're not sure if we can afford to keep our place, so that's possibly going horribly wrong. But there is other stuff too. Possibly being pregnant was the worst, but now that that's proved negative, I just need to hope everything else works out well too.

Kanian: Good character, you've clearly put a lot of detail into it. Only problem is, how will we get him with the rest of the group? They will be adding more people at this facility, but only those captive there. You ok having your guy start out injured and missing some of his gear?

Well, being sixteen I couldn't possibly have any insight on your situation, so all I can say is that it is good to have you back.

I figured thats how it would go down. If at all possible I would like to start with at least my armor and pistol, I could handle finding everything else afterward, if permitted.

Eesh. I know how university life goes. Good luck to you. Lucky me I don't have any major relationships. So I can devote my time to study's/goofing off when I should be studying.

21, living with my partner, we were bound to have a scare eventually. But lucky it was only a scare. The high five we did after seeing the negative test was particularly epic.

And Kanian, that's fine. There should be plenty of weapons to get from the corpses, so you'll at the very least be well armed.

NEWCOMER

Name: Maxwell Johnson

Age: 23

Occupation: Former BoS member, currently working as a caravan guard

Skilled in: Energy Weapons, Repair, Science

Stats:
Strength: 6
Perception: 7
Endurance: 5
Charisma: 4
Intelligence: 8
Luck: 5

Likes: Plasma weaponry, repairing things, Frank Sinatra, and Nuka-Cola.

Current inventory: Factionless Brotherhood Combat Armor (logos have been removed so nobody will recognize it), 2x scoped Plasma Rifle, 21 Microfusion Cells, 350 caps, 2 stimpaks, a Frank Sinatra holotape (Blue Moon), and 3 bottles of Nuka-Cola.

Backstory: After the disaster at HELIOS and the retreat to Hidden Valley, Maxwell Johnson was given the choice to stay or leave. He left, as his parents had been killed in the battle, making him realize how the Brotherhood was seemingly doomed to extinction. He wandered the wastes, eventually ending up at the Mojave Outpost, where he got a job as a caravan guard. After going to the Crimson Caravan with it and leaving there, he became an "official" guard, protecting many caravans and slowly earning his fellow caravaneers' respect.

He found himself at another routine job, passing near HELIOS. As he looked back at it, reflecting how far he had come and how much was in store, he was ambushed and knocked out. When he woke up, the other men were dead and the attackers were gone, but they left behind a clue: a single microfusion cell. He traveled back to the Crimson Caravan to report his failure, and Alice McLafferty swiftly fired him after he told her his story.

He was back to wandering the wastes, with only one clear goal in mind: find out who destroyed the caravan and make them pay.

Just wondering but is anyone going to post in the topic anytime soon?

I dont mean to be a bother but I'd like to be able to join in soon.

Still to get my laptop working so I can get the base description up. Hoping the in-laws will let me steal some of their net tomorrow.
