Fallout New Vegas RPG

To NewReno: I was wondering when you guys were going to see how very under prepared you were :p I looked at everyone elses list then mine and thought "Yeah, I think these guys are gonna need some more stuff....". Such as more food.

I have duffle bag full of food, meds, and water. I just didn't gave any details of the contents, and no one decided to take his share of supplies, neither the grenades nor the mines, so, whatever. I'll keep them with me, at least I don't have to carry the machine gun and the ammo.

I'm confused as to where we got all these weapons. I started with a 9mm pistol so I wasn't overpowered, and now some of us have suddenly got LMGs and Marksman carbine out of nowhere. I think Mark got the LMG and Marksman Carbine from Mcarran, correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't they know if a weapon would be missing, as most military armouries require you to sign your name upon taking a weapon out, and they count the weapons. If we're geting new weapons easily, I'm adding an Assault Carbine.

Yasmin always had a sniper rifle and an assult rifle. Her cousin got her a magnum cause she knew Yas wouldn't have time to find a decent handgun before heading out. I don't know what everyone else had before.

Ok, but for the sake of realism, don't be pulling off extreme acts of athleticism with a sniper rifle, Assault rifle, .308 ammo, 5.56mm ammo, and whole load of suppplies.

The most athletic thing she'll be doing carrying her stuff is probably running or climbing up some hills. I'm aware of human limits.

Seing as your implying we're looking for someone, can I be the one interrogating/ borderline torturing anybody who has info on him? Just so I can delve into my characters darker side. If there is any of that stuff to be done, I mean, I'm just asking in case there is.

We'll see how it goes. There'll be plenty of chances to hurt people more than neccissary, though there will be one person that Yas will call dibs on. For closures sake.

Well Carib is carrying the LMG and Alex is acting as ammo bearer. So I suppose me, Tom and Alex would be like the forward observers, since two of the three do have recon experience.

And a question, does David have any background in interrogation? Which would be interesting. but I suppose Alex, Carib and David do share darker histories.

Carib is like a modern day serial killer/Dexter Morgan of the post apocalypse. A secret he has never shared with any other living soul, and I am sure it would horrify those around him.

David is former Enclave

Alex is a man on the run for murder.

I think most of our group is pretty experienced with causing pain. Yasmin was a raider, and in Fallout 3 there was a lot of evidence of what raiders are capable of. So if they need information, it shouldn't be hard getting it.

There will be a time in this for torture though, don't worry.

My guy isn't just a a enclave soldier, but rather a former Reaper, pretty much the enclave version of spec ops. So I imagine he would have experience in interrogation.

And RavenJeanGreaves, don't worry about David finding out what happens before anybody else. He's just assumed that things are done here differently, and now after hearing your cazador story, he thinks he just overreacted.

Fair enough. So I suppose he would be trained in the Enclave equivalent of SERE as well as resisting and doing tactical interrogations. Plus being Enclave, he would also have a better understanding of tech and energy weapons than most in the group.

White, I didn't think you were going to make him figure it out, though I wouldn't be surprised if there was some suspicion. It does sound like a pretty good deal. Yasmin would be wary too. And yeah, I'm too lazy to put all her scars in her description, so they'll just crop up throughout. She does have a hell of a lot, as I'm guessing everyone does. They are great for stories.

Scars are excellent party conversations. Also, considering the lack of cosmetics (unless you live in a working Vault or Vault City), everyone has some ugly scars. Or burns, as I can see cauterizing being easier than needle work. After all, we won't always have stims.

Aside from perhaps quick first aid, do we have anyone with doctor skills. My character can probably do some good needle work and quick trauma care. But do we have anyone who is a good medic or doctor

My person can live of the land and stuff like that so he can provide food and water, as well as basic medical care if he had the right ingredients.

Can we still go for the I was the one who killed Yasmin's former raiding party? Because if that happens, it will be a great twist in the story.

I am sure the characters are connected. Though I guess we got to see if Raven is up for that? But hey, we could always use a twist in the road.

My character might also impart on yours that he can teach him how to make better bullets, the kind that put a death claw to heel.

Ok, because of some of the questions being asked, what fallows below may contain SPOILERS for some players. So read at your own risk or take things on faith.

Read my previous posts, it's all detailed there. If you don't want to go back an read it, basically goes like this: McCarran quartermaster's Sergeant Conteras (known for selling off McCarran's armoury weapons for his own personal gain) Is in on the deal like the rest of us and will get an equal share of what we find on the pre war base (he's been bribed for the supplies).

As for the sake of realism you are so worried about: A) It's a long way and there are no shops that way so we need to take all supplies we need for the way there and back. We have to assume we won't get resupplied. B) The path is filled with Cazadors, Deathclaws and if you go far enough feral ghouls including the pernicious Feral Ghoul Reaver. You go up against them with a 9mm and you are not Chuck Norris you are good as dead.

There is some AP ammo for your carbine, I think Carib has it, you'll need it if we are ambushed by deathclaws. Heck, maybe you can have Carib give you his assault carbine since he is now operating the MG, if he agrees of course, and say that's how you get it.

@Carib: Maybe you see Dave being armed with just a 9mm and decide to borrow him your carbine.

If not it's his own carbine.

So Yasmine has said she planned the route so we avoid anything really dangerous, yet its filled with deathclaws, cazadores, and feral ghoul reavers? I will add more supplies for the sake of realism. I'm sorry, but we've only just started this RP a few days and have only just left vegas, and we're taking on deathclaws? And I was under the impression that we were heading to a place near Nellis AFB, again bringing up the point as to how and why there are the deadliest creatures in the wasteland there?
Thank you for explaining how you got the military grade weapons, and for reminding me to add more supplies to my list. It won't be anything more than more meat and water.

EDIT: After looking at the vault, I can understnad cazadores being there, they're everwhere, but Deathclaws are found in Locations nowhere near Nellis. Now, this is an RP, so I am just using the Vault as a reference, but its better than saying they just happen to be anywhere.
