Eurogamer Czech provides us with one screenshot and four pieces of concept art. We've glimpsed them before in magazines but now we have 'em in decent quality.

Thanks smejki.

I still want the Hoover Dam concept in much bigger size.

Hurr durr, I didn't saw they have them in big size as well.

I know Fallout 3 graphic stuff wasn't that good but I would really like to see some screenshots of Hoover Dam to see how the map makers have designed this place.

Even if the graphics aren't that nice it doesn't mean the layout can be great to look at.

It's a nice concept. But that dam would have been completely obliterated. Fallout speak. Hoover dam Keeerushed. Goddamn thing looks intact. Fuck I hate this game more and more.

Well, it's not news anymore, that the dam is intact and produces energy. But I see no problems in this. In fact, I see a problem in two things on that concept art: 1. the gun looks fucking huge, if it fills out the whole roof of the left main building and 2. the whole pathway looks scattered. I hope that it will in the end not turn out as one of the fabulous 10 people locations with a small wooden bridge, etc. pp.

You know how hard it'd be to destroy something as massive as Hoover dam? Especially since Vegas wasn't supposed get hit that bad.

I do hate this game more and more though, I'm with you on that one.

I love these and I get a great feel out of them.

Awesome thumbs up

First of all, the need for complete realism in a game has never been paramount.

With that said, there's a History Channel show, Life after People (http://www.history.com/shows/life-after-people), that goes about showing how nature would claim back the earth, if Humans were suddendly wiped out, and how long it would take for man-made things to deteriorate.

After thousands of years of the wear and tear of the world, buildings will crumble, be reclaimed by the earth to the point that there won't be a trace of man anywhere. However, the last thing to go, thousands of years after everything else, will be the Hoover dam.

While its not talking about human extinction from nuclear war, I think you probably have no real idea on if the Hoover dam would still be around or not. Its an enormously thick piece of reinforced concrete engineering that isn't going anywhere easy.

If that's how all of the character creation is, I hate it. I'm really not seeing what was wrong with Fallout 1&2's character screen, it put almost everything on one page (some different tabs for less important stuff in the lower left).

I like these concept pieces... I would like to get them printed off and framed with a nice mat. It's hard to find post apocalyptic artwork.

Not immersive enough.

On the flip-side, how do you justify the existence of that machine? What the hell kind of game is that supposed to be exactly?
Following that, who gives a shit? Character creation is character creation, just don't give us two hour long tutorials any longer and I'm fine.

Is it just me or does anyone else really hate concept art?

I can think of nothing more annoying prior to a game coming out than to see beautiful art and then find nearly 100% of the time that the game has shitty artists making it.
