Fallout: New Vegas wallpapers

There were no save games in Rick Dangerous.

You had to go through the entire game on your limited lives. Memorizing every level as you go along.

(the flash version has a cheat button, tho, infinite lives/ammo if you press Home, I think)

Back to the wallpaper for FNV, it seems to me that the direction of the artist (most likely with some senior designer’s input), is to create a visual image that connects to the original Fallout 1 style. That being the first and arguably the best in the series, or at least the one that started the ball rolling. The people at Obsidian having a direct connection to the original game might be hinting that they want to get back to the roots of the series…or more likely…red is just a pretty color.

If there are limited sets of power armor, they are going to have to severely limit its speed of wear or turn off wear all together (which would be sensible considering it is so 'powerful').
I'd be pissed if the armor is hard to find or is only collected after three hours of battle and its dilapidated before you get back to base.

On the plus side F3 power armour is crap though.

Minus plus minus equals minus, not plus ! :P

I truly hope they go back to the FO1 low-tech feeling, and I have good hope since the main factions are slavers and the NCR, the the bloody enclave again.

I think there's little chance of that with the low-tech aspect considering new vegas and it's vault were essentially untouched by the fall and we already know new reno pretty much survived intact. whether or not new vegas and their vault were picked clean by opportunists is another story but there's probably a lot of old tech laying around ala fix it quests and go get this part quests

They may wanna fix the repair mechanics... Since they are creating mods and all...

They could add additional items, with that you can repair the items. It's not a big deal, you can do it already in Fallout 3. This just needs a kind of item overhaul, which is monkey work.

well what ever they do I hope they will make it feel more like a true power armor and not like the crap from Fablivion 3

*Edit
By the way they should also make it LOOK like a power armor meaning increasing your size a bit ... call me pedantic but that was one of the things I hated in Crap 3

I agree, yet the wallpaper we're discussing here features a guy wearing a "regular" (not power-)armor and carrying a revolver, not a Brotherdude of Steal with his laser waffle...
And old tech is fine for me. FO1 was pretty low-tech : rare energy weapons, rare power amors and mysterious BoS, and it's all I'm asking for, even if the time-line sees more advanced/larger factions rising. Which I hope will be better designed as such.
