Fallout of Nevada

Hello guys, I have another little problem ,sorry  Do you know if someone has created the map edges specific for Fallout of Nevada to use with the High Resolution Patch? If so can you tell me please the link for the download? Thanks in advance!

I guess you are having problems moving your screen in certain areas. For this, try to dowload this and this files (write the numbers on the picture and click the green button if you don't speak russian), unpack them and move them into Map_Edges\RestorationProject12 folder. Backup the original files though and in case of not working, you might have to use original resolution in these areas.

Sorry Tom9k, but I can't see and select the link in your post... I'm getting  in research :)

However I noticed that it refers to directory \Map_Edges\RestorationProject212; this is a version of High Resolution Patch prior to 3.01? I just installed the last version and the file f2_res.ini tip for any patches related to edge files (.edg not .ini) to the directory \data\maps. The edge files of the link are compatible?

Just what do the buttons on the bar do? Specifically, the SOS button seems to send people into a frenzy, but I've never gotten help in a fight.

Oups! Sorry, forgot to add links :) About files being compatible - not sure, not sure... I don't use higher resolution since I am oldschooler but I have found pack with both fixes and Resolution Patch 2.2 and some file for stable version of the game:

Code:
http://narod.ru/disk/11106935001/Fallout2.rar.html

Just remember to make backup first, I have not tested them since I am kinda busy these days + I have to use very old PC now and I am glad I'm able to get on this forum :([/quote]

There are some caravan merchants that start the dialogue saying strange things (talking like you were a escort that bailed on them, very strange) and then the answers and subsequent dialogue are full of error error error. Its in New Reno.

Most caravan merchants seem to have this 'error' chain of dialogue. Most likely due to the fact that every one of these merchants have the same script and dialogue file.

I would be very willing to help with the translation + bug finding work. This mod is incredible, a natural evolution of the Fallout 2 gameplay style. Now if I just could understand these bastards.

A newb makes his very 1st, humble post:

Regarding the english translation bugs/fixes:

To get straight to the point. I encountered this tiny bit of a bug in the translation:
scr00000errorfenceHAWTHORNERailwayStation.jpg

I just started exploring along a hole in a fence at Hawthorn Railway Station, when all of a sudden my character uttered a sort of amusing "ERROR" comment to himself. Havent played any further since and therefore have absolutely no idea of its import(ance), or meaning (text was in white, so nothing bad I suppose...). I am lvl4 with PE7, IN8; traps&science60 - in case its somehow relevant.

Btw - the automated translation is barely (if at all) comprehensible at times. Turns another aspect of the game into a really "hardcore experience" :vatted:. Nevertheless I really commend any such brave efforts...

So I would like to know at least what the aforementioned "error" comment was about - anyone playing the russian original care to shed some light?

Thnx in advance! :boy:[/spoiler]

Can you take a screen grab - show me the culprits.

Thanks very much Tom9k, I'll do a test. However, I found it easy to set up the edges files with the fallout mapper (patched to high resolution 3.01). You must load the desired xxx.map of FoN mod and use the edges setting function (select, drag, drop and save :) ) to change the relative attached edge file (xxx.edg from FRP 2.12 mod to copy in ..\data\maps); if the edges files are not available the program still allows you to create a new .edg file (thanks Mash, your patch is fantastic  ). Just remember to configure Mapper to point to the directory where you installed FoN!
I hope I was clear, sorry for the bad English

Hack your savegame, find the GVARs needed and change their values.

It will take more time, effort and balls than to start new game, though.
