Fallout: Tactics Redux Mod released

It might seems a bit mean considering the awesome work you made, but i am wondering if it is possible to separate, bugfixes, uncut contents and contents you added and choose the ones we want to keep during the installation ? While the first two things sound great to me, i would prefer playing the game as it was intended by the develloppers and not as part of community would have wanted the game to be and i guess some others think the same. I also know some people only care about bugfixes from Killap/Sduibek and aren't interested in the location that were added, hence the additionnal separation between bugfixes and uncut contents.

Other than that, this is a huge news for the whole Fallout community and i will pass the message to the french Fallout community.

I disagree Naossano. When content changes include stuff like removing Australian slang, you know the game is in dire need of a complete overhaul.

There will be a new update at a new link very soon (a few weeks). I'd say it's a major update (I decided to keep better records this time, and I'm wincing every day as I look at my changelog that takes half an hour to read through). That's why I haven't bothered to update the link for version 1.1 since Atomic Gamer went down on the first of the month.
@naossano

I understand your point of view, but making a "bugfixes only" version doesn't interest me. I don't work for Microforte, and nobody is paying me to clean up their messes. I think the game is sufficiently and fundamentally flawed in many ways-- even though it's a game I like-- so I'm trying to do something different to work toward the end result of a more entertaining gameplay experience. A key principle for all modders, no matter what game you're working on, is to only make mods you yourself enjoy, otherwise you'll get tired and never finish.

Sorry for asking, am I the only one not able to reach the site hosting the download?

Whoopsie, I just practically skipped the first half of the post. Thanks for the reply.

I still can't get FOT to run as smooth at it did on my crappy first computer, the scroll lag, and sometimes general slow down is stupid.

This mod was released years ago, and I've been trying to redirect comments from here to the modding forum so this thread isn't clogging up the recent events of the News section. But since new players still seem to find this news discussion on a regular basis, everyone should know I've updated my FOT Redux mod to version 1.2. It's a major update, with a lot of new content. For more information, see my post in the modding forum and please direct any future comments there.

Enjoy :)
