Fallout Tycoon 2

Speaking about music I'd say look at Jonny cash, maybe "Ring of Fire" or "Black". Thats got some 60's sound.
 
Does anyone know where I can get the font thats used on the little message screen in the bottom left corner of Fallout 1 and 2?

I need the true-type font and not that program at duck and cover that generates a bitmap.

Calculon00, the design docs would be great on the site. And i think your choice of Moody River is great! :D As most people do not realize Pat Boone, during the 50's, was as popular as Elvis!

Not compleltely related but I'm sure some of you may have downloaded the original FO Tycoon. I'm on Win2k and get an application error when I try start it up, does it require the VBRuntime or something ?

Completely related, Calculon00 would you like me to redesign your site ? If you have a host that allows PHP that'd be great.
 
The original Fallout Tycoon is very finicky, a lot of people can't ever get it to work on thier computers.
 
Calculon00, is your new website back up yet? As i can't access it, as i keep getting the dreaded "page can not be shown error."

I've run into a small problem. It seems the creators of Fallout Tycoon have already started on Fallout Tycoon 2. They sent me an E-mail:

"Hi, I'm a programmer of original Fallout Tycoon. We're pleased by making your project but there's one problem. We're already making Fallout Tycoon 2 so we ask you for selecting some other name for your game (we know that if you want you can use this name without any problems but we hope you'll not do that).
You have all our support and if you want you can use anything from original fotoon (and if you want we have a lot of unused graphic materials) or ask us if you'll have some problem. Informations about Fallout Tycoon 2 aren't official so please keep that only for yourself. (we'll officially present info about preparing fotoon2 in 2-3 months and game will be finished during next 2 years)
We hope you'll be reasonable.

and one more thing, I'm sorry for my English :)

Since they have already started thier work on Fallout Tycoon a long while before I announced mine, I'm thinking I should simply change my name to Fallout Tycoon 3. Any thoughts?
 
Calculon00, how about, Fallout: the Rebirth of Civilization? Since most people agree that when cities came about that was when civilization arose. And since your excellent project is focusing on the reesatblishment of trade and rebuilding cities, i think it would be a good name.


I also would hope that the Czechs would also playtest before releasing the next one, as the first one you can not play very long before it crashes to desktop.

Actually, the site moved to a VDHP section. If it ever gets its own site again I'll give you a shout.

As for the flash, yes you can post it online, but you can also export it as an exicutible. The thing about the game is, that after its all done, it might be as big as 40mb with all the graphics, so letting people download an exe of it would be best.

I posted a poll about the name change on the VDHP forum.
 
You know what one of the things I love about making this game is? Doing the background research into what town would demand what resource involves a lot of playing Fallout 2 :)

Oh shit, oops. Well, its not like he said anything specific about the actual game other than its being made, so I guess there's no harm done. I would have had to give an explination for the name change anyway.
