Fallout: Van Buren Worldbook (FINISHED - Map and PDF inside)

I was pretty inactive throughout the spring and just heard about Post. Incredibly sad news, I can't imagine how his family and those who knew him in real life must feel. Even here in a forum devoted purely to niche fans of a video game franchise you could tell he was an amazing person.

I have some of the campaign notes, about up to The Nursery I think. If by "Campaign Notes" you mean the gazetteer which lays out the various locations, their link to the main quest, and their associated side quests.

I can post it here or DM it if other members of the forum who knew Post better and worked more extensively with him on this project (like @Hardboiled Android) don't think it would be disrespectful.
Of course, as far as I know there wouldn't be anything wrong with it. It was amazing work, and I would think he would want it to be continued to be shared.

But I actually think I have the full version. I've compiled everything I have from the project into a folder somewhere, I'll have to take a look.

I feel incredibly bad for not realising sooner, I thought he had just taken a break from the internet or something, didn't look too much into It. Things make a lot more sense now, damn. Rest In Peace.

Yeah same, people come and go from NMA so when I dropped by in April I saw he hadn't posted much and just figured he had stuff going on. I figured I would eventually run into him later.

I may have the full document buried somewhere as well, unless I accidentally deleted it because I thought it was a duplicate of the incomplete one that I know I have saved.

I hope the double-post here is okay (I don't remember if that's formally against the rules) but I just double-checked and was able to find the Final Draft of the full campaign in a folder I forgot about. If anyone can help me figure out how to distribute a file that large to people on here I can upload it.

Hey, I was looking to run a campaign using this great resource (rest in peace, AP). Could you try uploading these campaign notes to something like Google Drive or Dropbox? They'd be great to have.

Hey guys I'm back and I have a Dropbox set up which should allow you to read and download the complete 146 page campaign document. I've never used Dropbox before so if there's some expiration date for the link or it stops working message me and I'll see what I can do about updating it.

Also if anyone actually ends up running this I don't think I would be the only person here who would enjoy following along via a Session Report thread similar to the one that Post had going.

Just to add, I've managed to find a 170 page version of the campaign document.
There's a few differences, such as more/less images and revised sections, but I don't really know the specifics.

The most substantial difference between this and the final version is in New Mexico. It underwent an almost total rewrite from this version to the final. There are also more minor differences throughout that we refined.

Thanks on the clarification. I do prefer the new Quartz and Darwin in the final now that I've read it. I wanted to pair this with Postman's pen and paper module, but there doesn't seem to be a Overseers Guide in his thread, at least anywhere I've looked. Do you think you have it?

I definitely think the removal of Quartz and Darwin was the right decision, but to each his own.

I do have it, but it should also be somewhere else on the forum.

I checked it and it doesn't appear to have the Overseer's Guide. Can you upload it for posterity?
Really depressingly, it looks like I never saved the Overseer's Manual. Actually, looking through his posting history, I'm not even certain that he actually saved it anywhere, though it looks like he might have meant to when he updated the OP of the PnP thread. I couldnt find it in my DMs either.

Tomorrow I will try to check his Reddit history to see if he ever posted it there. If not, it's a pretty grim situation - his girlfriend's account isn't active anymore, so I doubt she'll respond to anything and I'm not sure how to contact her otherwise (and feel a bit bad about doing so). He had one friend who was the first person who was able to confirm what happened, but they haven't been active in a few months on reddit. I had another contact who was one of the actual PnP players, and who claimed that he was actually going to continue on the campaign after what happened, but he went and got banned from reddit so I have no way of contacting him. It would be really awful if the Overseers Guide were gone forever.

Best of luck then even if the situation may be really unfortunate. It's a shame people don't make mirrors of these great projects.

Thanks for sharing the Overseer Manual.

I made an archive with all the documents I could find from this project and uploaded it to the NMA's Downloads section, to make things easier for others to find. If anyone wants to put the time and effort into checking the archive and see if I missed anything or if there's any problem with the files, please let me know.

Here's the archive's link:

I've also managed to acquire the .pdf for his New California Dreaming one-shot.
That's very cool. Thanks for sharing :salute:.

I'm going to add it to the archive and update the file for download here on NMA.

EDIT: Darn it, I had to delete the old file page and make a new one for the updated file, since I don't like how NMA does the file updates when uploading files and how they make a new page for the updated file but keep the old page and file in the main page while to access the updated version we have to find a small link at the bottom of the page and click on it to go to the updated page...
