There's a new Fallout project in the works, this one is called Fan Fallout and here are some info:<blockquote>Demo Features:

- An involved story set 20 years after the ending of Fallout 2
- A new city named Estes, brimming with the faithful Fallout style
- The ability to play a completely new character, that is neither the Vault Dweller or a descendant of
- Numerous original side-quests and NPCs
- Immense freedom in the gameworld with multiple quest solutions
- Constant and detailed role-playing potential
- The famous S.P.E.C.I.A.L system left intact, as well as traits and perks
- Detailed and exciting joinable NPCs
- New and impressive voice acting
- Use of existing Fallout graphics as well as additional new art and sprites
- At least two city maps and two wasteland locations

I wonder if it allows you to play as a part of some other organization, like slavers, Enclave (if they still exist), BoS, etc.

Though it doesn't sound like much has been accomplished yet. I know psychosniper (the artist it said) is a member here right? Do you (psycho) know how far the project has gotten or is it just in design right now?
 
This is one done by Volourn I think.
My one wish is that these mod profects work at a higher resolution than FO2's 640x480. I can't play the game any more because it looks so ugly on my monitor.
 
Im not going to say that much at the moment, since most of it is still being discussed on the private boards only still, but I CAN confirm that the design doc for the first city is looking good and coming along well. Guys, some of the features that our code guys say CAN be implemented are going to be freakign awsome once implemented.


Right now, were focused on the demo since once it's put out, the hope is we'll get more mappers/scriptters/artists which will speed it up.



I'll pass this link along to the folks in charge, so they can choose how much to tell.
 
Another mod? That's so funny. I have a distinct feeling that each and every week a new mod is being developed, but when is someone actually going to finish one, eh? A big one, I mean, a really good one, not the stuff that's been around for years (no offense).

And sorry for being sarcastic, but I'd like to see some results one of these days, not attempts and good intentions.

Same here. It looks like friggin' LEGO.
 
I concur with Alec. Everyone wants to start there own mod, but no one ever wants to finish one. Not that I don't appreciate Odin's posts about them, but still...
 
Everyone wants to finish their own mods, they just take a damned long time. The problem is that most people just start their own new Fallout 2 mod instead of joining up with one of the existing mod teams, so they create a huge amount of different mods with the same objective. Silly really.

ahh its okay with me. I'll keep cheering each and every one of them until I find out how to mod and then maybe that day i'll help. :)
 
I have to say that this mod looks more promising than others, lots of cool guys in there and the website looks rather professional. Best luck guys!
 
Yep, it would be nice if people could pool their talents into a few good looking god-damn-awesome mods :)

That said, you say you have some awesome features, so I think it might be interesting to know what your position is on sharing code (after the project is finished). Care to elaborate?
 
I think weve got all the people we need (execpt FRM artists) for the moment, but feel free to ask Enderandrew since he's in charge.
