Another mod? That's so funny. I have a distinct feeling that each and every week a new mod is being developed, but when is someone actually going to finish one, eh? A big one, I mean, a really good one, not the stuff that's been around for years (no offense).

And sorry for being sarcastic, but I'd like to see some results one of these days, not attempts and good intentions.

Now buddy dont be so sarcastic.

I heard that some people called Besesda or something are going to do a great Fallout mod based on the morrowind engine.

That is going to count as at least one such mod finished.

:P

Actualy, were going to have item crafting (as mentioned above) so yes, it does.

I'm sorry to break it to you kid but just about every modder says "We’re going to have X feature" or “This mod will stand apart from all other mods”. You're just kidding yourself.

We're going to try and have this feature.

So please don't be so harsh on him.

My job is not to tell the world how incredible this project will be. My job is to recruit talent, organize a team, and oversee a project.

I understand people being hesitant, or wary of mods. I'm not seeking praise until we have work that warrants praise. I'm optimistic, as are the rest of the team. They've seen the ideas we've got. That's why they're excited. I don't expect anyone else to be really excited until they see screenshots, and a demo.

If you've got questions about the project, I may be able to answer them if it doesn't give away too much.

If you want to contribute your time, talent, or resources then get a hold of me. We'd love your help. For now, I'm going to get back to work.

Everyone wants to finish their own mods, they just take a damned long time. The problem is that most people just start their own new Fallout 2 mod instead of joining up with one of the existing mod teams, so they create a huge amount of different mods with the same objective. Silly really.
Anyone know who was first?

I know we were early, but who was first?

Ooh.. I missed our second birthday.

here you may download the whole internet (hungarian page)... just don't forget to use a download manager ;)

Heh. The files are a bit small though -- and they should have used some kind of splittable file type (ARJ for example).

I suppose the site would have been funnier if I understood what it read, though.

the website looks rather professional

Don't judge anything by its website. Web design is overrated.
Besides, it's just a two-column-plus-header layout with background graphics and the phpBB as forum. Nothing fancy.

Despite raping tables for image and content placement I got to say the graphics guy did a decent job.
However, the webmonkey gets no banana from me: a redudant note "best viewed with" on the bottom, lots and lots of non-standard HTML and awful slicing (although with roughly 135KB it's a rather quick load nevertheless).

I agree that a website is not the greatest indicator of a team, but it does say something about them. In the end, we will be judged by the work we put out.

The website was quickly done, but I think it turned out fairly nice.

It's nice to be recognized by fans and the Fallout community, however I'm mainly interested in recruiting help for the project at this point.
