I enjoyed the small amount of experience I had with it on xbox.. i got free map packs for R.U.S.E. just by playing splinter cell conviction.

It's alright since they moved away from always-online, even gives "rewards" for achievements, but otherwise it's your typical superfluous overlay DRM (like SteamWorks) and as such can introduce new problems.

mm i dont think so. If i remember right getting uplay acheivements game me some kind of gamerscore equivalent that i could use to purchase the same things that others were purchasing with real money.
