Heh depends. i rolled 2 diff chars and finnished the game with both (F2 that is).
for my Fast Shot (or whatever the trait was called) char it was deffinately the Bozar, though i prefered the LSW because it didnt burn through .223 as fast.
for my Finesse crit char, it was the Y32k something Pulse Rifle. an energy weapon. Most of the time id be getting crits of like 200-250 per shot, and sometimes id get a critical hit for 19 dmg but the enemy would fall dead anyway, it was hillarious

i really hope that to in FO3 could carry in both hands some weapons and both would be 10mm pistols<3 - damn i love dual pistols! but shame.. both FO, FO2 and FOT hasnt that "tactic"..
it would be really kamikazed to attack with dual pistols or smgs against rat!

What the heck is that?

F:POS ALERT! F:POS ALERT! Ahem.

F1: Turbo Plasma Goodness!

F2: Gauss weaponry *cough*RAILGUN*cough* Railguns are neat... the only cool part of that crappy "Eraser" movie IMO

Don't have FO:T, and since the majority of NMA (and DaC I would wager) doesn't recommend it, I don't feel I'm missing anything.

Fallout1 : Turbo Plasma as if there would be no tomorrow!

Fallout2 : Yes, yes, Gauss Rifle anyone?

A friend of mine bought Craptics together with me,
as it came out, we started it, and at the end
of this day, he could keep it.
Never played it again.
Erm, yes, and so I don't know bout Craptics weapons.

You played that game long enough to find A lazer weapon??/

I made it just past the into... (about 5 minutes ater defileing my playstation with it's mere presence...) and i removed the disk and promptly broke it...

I'm pretty shure that the game shop i rented it from is going to take me to a collection agency soon...

fallout1 - turbo plasma rifle
fallout2 - turbo plasma rifle, gauss rifle, mega power fist

Amazing... my thoughts exactly! Though I did go through a phase when Bozar was the way to go... Till I shot and gutted a hapless kid inadvertently. Damnable atrocity - still haunts me after all those years...

Shotgun (combat, pancor whatever I can get).

Reason is simple:
It's available fairly early and it remains my primary weapon until the end of the game.
At first it's powerful, later it's sufficient for most critters.

There are tons of weapons much more powerful. Only problem, it's a waste to use a gauss rifle against questionable opposition.

Against tough opposition I favour:
- left hand: mega power fist
- right hand: gauss rifle

Sniper rifle comes in handy in either long ranged fights (e.g. taking out turrets) or easy ones (just for the flavour of crippling some people).

Solar Scorcher is a fun toy. Never have to waste action points reloading, but it's sucks ass in the dark.

Turbo Plasma Rifle and Gauss Rifle, very good weapons, especially when being tailed by Bounty Hunters.

mm..solar gun
found it once, but don't remember anymore...was it in a random encounter or where? :d

When it comes to making noise, the 14mm and .233 FMJ pistol are my all time favourites.

If I had to go for looks, I'd say the 10mm pistol/revolver and the semi-automatic Hunting Rifle. Doesn't get more wastelandish than that right there.

And last but not least when reloading, does anyone else find listening to the (combat) shotgun reload in Fallout 1 as satisfying as I do?

And Browning M2 in FoT is really an evil weapon. Effective against anything, at any range. Too bad the 50.cal ammo is scarce. (To blow away a humanoid bot with just one burst salvo is pretty entertaining..)

Nothing more masculine than blowing away evil robots & Super Mutants with a gun that big.

It's time for a reboot!

Fallout: Gauss Pistol. One powerful ballistic pistol.

Fallout 2: SOLAR SCORCHER. The most self sufficient weapon in the wasteland.

Fallout Tactics: GAUSS MINIGUN. that weapon was powerful and made the coolest sound.
