about Bozar:
u can steal it from guys in combat armor that are standing and guarding the shop (of that little merchant) in NCR courtyard.
 
I like every gun in the fallout games except the bloody pipe rifle cool idea but it could have been more realistic in my view.

But i like the LSW because i am learning how to use one in the Territorial army :)
 
Hey why isn't anyone mentioning the M-60? Ammo is quite scarse but that thing has massive power! Sometimes even better then the Vindicator Minigun imho.
Also, I like the 'riddled with bullets, dies screaming' death animation better then just blowing chunks out of your foe.
(Unloading at groups of mercenaries is really messy hehe)

A.t.m I'm patrolling the wasted with my SWISS SSG 3000 sniper rifle and my M-60 or Vin Minigun, depending on ammo conservation.
 
Why? Because real-life weapons don't fit the Fallout setting, despite what CS munchkins think.

But I agree with the general opinion that the addition of the real-life weapons was a bad move... although some of them are cool (Pancor anyone?)...
 
Heh, never expected that people find the real life weapons out of place..

I on the other hand think that it was a very good move! I mean, it keeps the F2 world partially recognizable to our own instead of another fantasy gameworld. :wink:

Btw, I'd just dropped the SWISS SSG 300 rifle for the Bozar. That is one mean sob, the power of the M60 and high accuracy.

You, sir, are wrong.

Fallout timeline has diverged in the 50's and there is NO FUCKING WAY for modern day weapons to appear there.

The most obvious reason is that ours are suited for 'our' body armor types, that is, fibres like kevlar etc., while Fallout's are for polymer-crafted combat armors, metal, hard leather etc.

And check how unfitting they are in the wastes, all clean and streamlined, compare that with the cumbersome, but ultimately very stylish Colt 6520! Or the SIG Sauer 14mm! Or the MP9!
 
when i first played i have 2 admit i loved the bozar (who didnt??) - killing three people in a row who were throwing stones at you is so much fun. but have found a new appreciation for the gauss rifle - when u get the action boy and weapons cost 1 less ap point perks - 2 shots in the eye - nice :P
 
i always use my gauss pistol now, can get more shots in than a gauss rifle and i do enough damage to kill anything not in advanced power armor. but i still love the combat shotgun for its accuracy.
 
Woo, posting on a five year old thread. The .44 magnum is sexy, and kind of makes the Desert Eagle a junk weapon, considering you can get them both in the Den. Firing 2-3 shots that early in the game with something that uses magnum ammo is pretty owie. Plus..."Being that this is the most powerful handgun in the world, and can blow your head clean-off, you've got to ask yourself one question. Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya punk?"
 
Incase it wasn't clear, the .44 Magnum Revolver is my favorite weapon. And that's without even playing the game with Fast Shot to go along with Bonus Rate of Fire. Granted the .44 isn't quite as useful by the time you can get BRoF, but 2 AP and 10 AGI? Yummy! At least, I assume it could drop as low as 2 AP.
 
That's nice but don't double post, there is a convenient edit button for people to click on when they feel that their poetic potential hasn't been fully explored in only one post.
 
There's nothing like taking out 5 Enclave soldiers in power armor every turn from across the screen with the Gauss Pistol. :twisted:

The Sniper perk is the coolest game balance bug in history. I took out Navarro in my Vault suit!
 
Huh, weird. I only saw posts up to 2002 until today, so I figured nobody would really mind a double post on an old thread.

I lked six guns

*10mm of course due to it being the first firearm you get
*AK-104 because of its selective fire pwned royally when you had it modifyed with extended magazine
*FN-FAL long range and excellent damage
*.223 pistol it was fun and it reminded me of blade runner
*H&K G11 MK II loved the fire rate and caseless ammo
*Vindicator Minigun it pwned arse!
