Either the hell has frozen over, or the scientists have found life in Mars, cause Finland has won the Eurofestival. They promised this to me, they promised. :evil:

As a reference, I am Finnish, and this is what everyone in here(Finland) thought of this, before the other day.
 
This is so surreal.. For 50 years the same clones abba-alike artist have spewed out the same garbage over and over. In denmark the commision doesn't even allow songs that aren't mainstream barf. Then a wierd country like finland makes up a band. The catolic church says its satanic and half of europe fucking votes for it! Wtf is going on? I dont think a song like that have ever participated.

This must be a sign the worlds comming to an end! You cant even trust pop-culture anymore!

I'm particularly happy Greece gave Finland the 12 points. This is certainly going to upset quite a few people here :lol:

As was already stated, the song is pretty mediocre as far as Rock songs are concerned. But they did pull a huge stunt by winning in a traditionally pop competition. As the lead singer stated during the post-show press conferance, we might as well be in a transitional time for the Competition with music styles other than pop entering the competition. For that achievement alone...

You know, I just was on a roleplayer's and LARP convention in Hamburg and came to the conclusion that those guys' costumes weren't that impressive 8)
