FO2 Graphics Upgrade Patch (FO2GUP)

If someone is interested I can send a basic model of new helmet ("smaller" version from Powered Armour) for Brotherhood Combat Armour, you can add some details - for example: "pipe" (or whatever it's called :P) which provides oxygen into the helmet and maybe some container which could attached into standard backpack. Or change something if you want :)
 
What program are you using to model it? I could *try* to help, not sure how good a job I'll do though!
 
I've downloaded anim8or to see how program looks/works. We can "exchange" objects in .3ds format by import/export option ;)

Here's a basic idea of the new helmet for BOS Combat Armour (I hope you like it):

Continuum, great work on the helmets! As you say, they just need a few pipes and plates...etc to make it look more realistic.

@wild_qwerty. The graphics thing with swimming or wading could be done. In San fran, when the Dragon fights, his script calls the punch animation. I think it could be done this way.

Also, was the MR deployable gun turret finished? i wouldn't mind seeing that.
 
Looks nice, but I think, I would like the armor more without the helmet. Maybe you want´s to make more versions of the armor? With and without helmet or so? :)
 
I think the helmet should be red with a black view window in a 'T' shape. Look at my Avatar :)
 
You want to see some Crusader "spirit" in Fallout? Some time ago I was thinking how to add Silencer into Fallout :P

I think Combat Armours wll look in this way:
MKI - without helmet
MKII - with original
BOS - with the new one
 
I did attempt to add the critters from crusader into FO, but its a little tricky finding their point of origin to align the frames :(

I can send you all of the frames if you want so you can model up a new silencer :)
 
I have Crusader: No Remorse, so I can extract frames from it :)

I've tested Silencer movement animations with Frame Animator and I think they're rendered in different angle (exception: East and West). Problem is showing up when character is moving more than two hexes.
 
What program did you use to extract the frames? I used Crusader Explorer, but it doesnt mark to origin correctly.

Frames for movement animation must be set in this order:

Animation doesn't look "ideal", but is working :)
 
Yea, I'll try and do the items and stuff, I dont think I can compete with Continuum or Siren, so I'll handle the grunt work for now :)
 
alas the girl may be lost to the ages....

I started updating the item protos last night to use the new ground art, so far so good. Though it took me a while to install FO2 and the mapper on the laptop I'm using (I cant use my main computer much or my dog/puppy keeps pestering me).

I've decided to do something I've wanted to do for the last couple of years, remove that weird looking space shuttle and replace it with a nice 50's style space rocket complete with port holes and tale fins.

Probably the within my merger modeling skills.

Maybe you could recover it with some recovering software (I recomend EasyRecovery Professional)

The rocket idea sounds good. Don't know it the submarine mod is still alive but I think you guys are the chosen to create the map :)

The submarine mod is still in progress, among others...

There was actuaky a RUS "Shutle Must Fly Project" on teamx forums... but I think its dead now :cry:
 
It would be cool enough just to be able to go inside and take a look around, buts thats up to somone else :)
