FO2 TC: Fallout of Nevada

Agreed, I'm brushing the dust off my old Russian dictionary thanks to this mod, couldn't resist the temptation anymore. :look:

Well, I registered only to say - in Russian texts of F:N not that good. It's to tell the truth the only flaw of that conversion.
I'm just saying this so that you understand - translator will not only translate, but actually to correct various mistakes - minor slip-ups in spelling(easiest part), and what is called like graphorrhea - syntactic and stylistic mistakes.
So it would be non-trivial work.

But - F:N is best from the best, best what I saw from "based on" works.

Hi ! My name's Tandi ! (no that's not !)

I was afraid that all of you were gone before I could thank for this gigantic work so many of you gave for translating fallout Nevada.

If I'm here it's of course because I don't speak any word of russian, I barely speak english furthermore.

I got many questions. And I hope many of you could answer them : (plz !)

-Does that translation can work with fallout 1.0.0 ?

I replaced the folder named "english" in the vanilla fallout nevada game, still not working though, I am currently trying to use the translation on the 0.99B but I'm pretty I am not doing it the right way.

I wasn't able to use the basic FoN.Exe because the patch U.S is not allowed by the game ? I don't understand why :(, But I can launch the Nevada HD.Exe, which work, but only the word on the main menu are in english (I used the folder named Translation ALL.)

(By the way Lexx. The job you've made for Shattered destiny is awesome, a bit hard because I never use the gifted trait and because I use a charisma boy, but that was still awesome !)

Thanks for all the time you've given onto that great game !

Damn, wish I knew Russian! DAAAAAMN!

BTW, anyone knows how I can get in contact with the mod maker, and if he can talk in English? Because I liked the Fallout of Nevada soundtrack and wish we could use it for the Hearts of Iron Darkest Hour Fallout Mod, so I wanted to ask him.

the game is definitely awesome.
About year ago, I have played the public v0.99 of the mod and have been waiting for the final game ever since.

I am only third way through, but IMHO 1.0 didn't disappoint one bit, what previously was buggy proof of concept (lets be honest) has been polished into a great mod.

They reworked most things, some parts I hardly recognize. They seem to have optimized maps, added\polished quests, re-positioned and inter connected quest hubs, improved few art assets and improved crafting (making your scavenged items more useful and overall feels more like a survival game) as well as various nice touches that connect the setting to FO1/2.

Recently I have been re-learning New Reno's lay of the land, seizing opportunities. Most recently I sneaked into a crime boss office at night, and hid in his closet to gain access to his safe(failed). After previously setting bugs in his office and cleaning his armory, in the confusion that I cause playing with floor circuit board. :)

Has it been translated to English yet? The project seems to have fallen silent.

Actually, I don't think they're even planning to make a translation. And that's a huge shame because the game is truly amazing; the quest design in particular is one of the best I've ever seen in a CRPG, with skill and stat checks galore, non-obvious alternate solutions that require both experimentation and exploration and lots of choices and consequences.

*Sigh* Oh well. I was really hoping for some new, real Fallout. Guess I'll just have to wait for Project Brazil or that attempt at doing Van Buren to be finished. Fallout: Lone Star is dead to me, ever since they 'made the change to the Fallout 4 engine'.

I've completed this recently, and I must say - hats off. It's a fully fledged, authentic Fallout game. Feels somewhat closer to Fallout 1 than 2. It's not without flaws, but neither are the originals.

It's discontinued now, which is a shame. You can't blame the authors, though: they worked several years for free. So anyway, if someone were to pick it up, squash the remaining bugs and/or do the translation - why not. Might be even crowdsourced.
