FO2XP Mod

not quite, it still helps my understanding of the mapper. I mean ingame. I'm not saving the game or loading. I start a new game. Drop my spear and kill klint. Leave the game without saving. When I start a new game after this, klint is dead, the spear previous is on the ground and I do not have a spear in my inventory.
 
man i am loving the guns.. heh found out hard way there was difference in the calicos.. ones a pistal and ones a smg but same graphic.. btw love the sound it makes too..

im fresh into toxic caves with a colt 45 pistal and the smg.. but still frustrating to crash randomly..

just curious, does it make any difference to this mod if we didnt patch to 1.2 before installation?

No, the baseline start of this mod was to include the official US 1.02D patch contents. Everything else was added after that.

LOL omg your right they are different, but in all fairness it just seems to be different angle of same gun, thoguh with a longer/different stock.. hey clever =p

Sorry, I started getting warnings from my ISP stating that I am past 80% of my allowed band width usage. Had to remove those files from FTP temporarily. I noticed that Silencer announced a new facility at NMA for uploading large files, perhaps I can upload it there. Silencer: is 60MB too large for this site?

I just started playing this yesterday, it makes the game feel realy fresh: im loving it. I have a few bugs to report:

-You can randomly get stuck on the world map, like invisible blocks are there.

- In a press gang V hubologists encounter, the wolf with the gang had human combat taunts

- The Wolf was almost invisible, I has 95% chance of hit a could kill it. Attempted for 30mins, kept missing

- Sometimes the engine refsued to fire on the wolf i.e. it did not acknoledge clicking on it to fire.

- The Wolf Death animations dont work

- In random encounters with merchants, I either get GDdialog error or they just say error.

-I think the you have died scene goes to fast to read

- Lastly a unity patrol versus mutants encounter I was watching, wen stagnent when only one patrol member and on mutant were left i.e. They stopped fighting

Anyway
 
So, I just finished adding in the critters, sounds, scripts, some items, and changes to the worldmap from this mod. The game runs fine. However, I cannot get any of the encounters I modified. The red lightning bolt appears when traversing the worldmap, the screen goes black for a second as if it were moving to the encounter, there might be a really quick flash of the character on the encounter screen (maybe half a second), and then the game returns to traversing the worldmap. The other encounters work fine. Any suggestions?
 
MIB are you going to help fix this mod? And did you not encouter crash when using certain weapons?

Please help fix this, dude_obj is kia again.

Sorry, I didn't mean to get your hopes up! I only wanted to use the critters in some random encounters first. It seemed like such a waste that the work was done to convert the FOT critters and they weren't really used. If I can get those critters to work right, then I will see about incorporating some other stuff from this mod. But it is a serious headache. Now I am having some encounters where the maps load up, but the critters are not there. This seems to happen primarily with the new wolf critters.

No worries, i shall await for dude_obj's return then. but just curious when you said in your first post that the game runs fine, what did you test thoguh? Were you able to use the new weapons without the game crashing? and also their different weapon fire mode, ie targeted shot, burst?

The only thing I tried to include was the new critters that are found in the random encounters. The rest of the game works fine, it is just those chnged random encounters which fail to work properly.
 
I haven't heard from Dude_obj for a few months now and last I heard he wasn't really up to fixing up the rest of this mod.

If anyone else is interested in helping, I may be inclined to continue but as it stands, I can't really do it all on my own.
 
If you can help me understand a few of the concepts in how the worldmap works, I will help. I found a few things going through that file that would lead to some random crashes, and fixed those when I tried to include it in my mod. But I am very interested in getting it working.
 
From what I last remember, the worldmap was seriously bugged, some encounters were not working at all and we got a lot of crashes.

Its been so long since I had anything to do with this, you'll just have to be patient and let me work some things out again.
