FOnline: 2238 Developers Video #2

I like the idea of having a character with a high first aid/doctor skill with the party to heal people up after combat.

Can we expect anything like that or is it gonna be chainsmoking stimpacks like the other fallout games?

Someone with high first aid/doctor can indeed fill that role.

They could also craft stimpacks for use in case someone needs to heal desperately but their Doctor's first aid ability is on cool down :)

I love the Fix Boy already! :D I'm getting so impatient to play, can't wait...

Off Topic: Greene, your signature, is the most epic thing, I have ever seen. Must... edit... sig, lol. :D

Won't be so easy without their APA2, only being able to level until 21 and without all the best weapons dropping from the sky ;)

Won't be so easy because if you (somehow) acquired APA, it doesn't mean you can go around yelling "Anklav Patrol". I'm pretty sure such renegade group would quickly run into troubles with _real_ Enclave authorities...

Well ... of course they can shout "ANKLAVE PATROL!!!1". There are always people like that, even if they don't have the APA. I was just joking :D

Heh, when I think about it... would be nice to have some wannabes yelling around they would be from the Enclave. It wouldn't take much time until we got our real Enclave troops together, kicking their asses. :P

Hell I'm gonna be shouting ANKLAV PATROL while shooting ants and mantis with my pipe rifle and wearing a leather jacket lol.

I'm with you on that.

* Walking around in my leather jacket holding a 10mm shouting "ANKLAV PATROL!!!" * < That, is what I'm gonna do. :D

* Reconite gets pwn3d by the real Enclave. * :P

Each time you shout "ANKLAV PATROL!!!" there needs to be a 1/20 chance that you will find the real enclave in a nearby random encounter, angry at the name misuse. They're also going to shout it back at you for giggles.

Im writting as Im watching the video and I would just like to suggest one thing: Don't give the person the skills to make everything at once. Make it so that the person must learn how to make some things. At least the more "high end" items.

And then Im not just talking about needing stats.
This way when you do updates for the game in the future you could add like new quests for some new and great weapons and people would have to find the people or the places required to learn how to make them.

(Like it is in the singleplayer games with MrFixit nowdays).

edit: Oh it seems you must learn indeed. I thought it wasn't like that since when you started up the game you had all the skills. But I guess that was a pre-made char. Love it then! Keep up the work ;)

Oh I have a crucial suggest (or at least crucial in my opinion) if possible make it so that weapons wear down. (If you can't actually amke them break down then make them do less and less damage for each 10 or 100 uses). So not to overflood the online economy (something that sadly happens to often).

But that's not necessary in Beta or Alpha!

Username, items already degrade. You can use your repair skill to fix them back up a certain number of times, but eventually they'll all end up as useless hunks of wood.

Well, we have some talented persons who are working on reverse engineering a lot from Fallout 1 and 2. :)

h4xx0rs! - otherwise known as Iranians in the real world.

(seriously, check out their military hardware).

I'm in awe.

I mean seriously, good fucking job guys and gals.

So, can you tell if Jinxed and Chem Reliant traits have been implemented this time?
