Game Informer, who recently unveiled Fallout 3 on the cover of their next issue, has released that they are open to questions concerning the game:<blockquote>When we announced that Fallout 3 was on the cover of Game Informer Magazine's July Issue, the internets went wild. There's only one person outside of Bethesda that's actually seen the game, and that's Game Informer Magazine's Associate Editor Matt Miller. There's probably a billion things you want to know about the game, and Miller has the answers. Well, some of them, anyway.

So let him have it.

Starting today and ending on Monday, June 11th at 12 Noon CST, we're allowing you, the reader, to ask Miller anything you want about Fallout 3. We're not promising he'll answer all of your questions, but if you bribe him with Cheddar Bay Biscuits, you never know.

Send all of your questions to askmiller@gameinformer.com and we'll be posting the answers in this month's Unlimited which launches on June 18th.</blockquote>Not quite true, there have been other people outside Bethesda who have seen the game, but so far they have been unable to report anything because of NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements).

Thanks to Anonymous for bringing this to us.

I've sent in a question,

asked him if the game is iso tb, or fpp rt. I'm sure he will get ton of the exact same questions, thats good, maybe the guy will realize that it is important. However, we will probably get those pointless questions and answers which really mean nothing to us.

Yip. Anyone who has a good question, please mail him and forward us the reply.

I don't see why he's able to reveal anything, I'm assuming he has an NDA, but maybe he's just planning to drop tidbits from the article in this way up ahead, to get the juices/hype flowing.

Hmm...? It reads to me as if they will pick out a selection of questions to answer in the print issue, on the 18th.

Non-Disclosure Agreement. Wiki:
A non-disclosure agreement (NDA), also called a confidential disclosure agreement (CDA), confidentiality agreement or secrecy agreement, is a legal contract between at least two parties which outlines confidential materials or knowledge the parties wish to share with one another for certain purposes, but wish to restrict from generalized use. In other words, it is a contract through which the parties agree not to disclose information covered by the agreement. In rare cases, the contract may state that the existence of the NDA itself cannot be disclosed.[citation needed] An NDA creates a confidential relationship between the parties to protect any type of trade secret. As such, an NDA can protect non-public business information.

Beat me to it.

It sounds a lot like a way to make people talk about the mag.

If they really answer on interesting things, why not ...

sent him 2 questions
first one was about iso or fp
and the second if it feels like the older Fallouts or more like a different game

I have a good question for Beth...
If you could rate "RPGiness" in games, how would you rate Fallout 1 & 2 and Oblivion?

I doubt that we'll get any useful answers but it's worth a try, so I sent some predictable stuff on speech, perspective, combat, setting and music, as well as writing a terrible joke.

Q: How many Fallout fans does it take to change a light bulb?

A: Three, a FPP fan to see the ceiling, an isometric fan to explain how it is done, and a 3rd-PP hybrid fan to stop the other two from killing each other.

You know, the more I think about this, the more it pisses me off. The big details being revealed in a print magazine. Fansites being kept in the dark. Ok, maybe using one of us as for a platform for a big announcement would have been too much, but something about this stinks.

Once the details come out, and in all likelihood, the fans escalate the hatred a bit, how long before NMA and DAC get blacklisted?

I just don't see them handling ANY intense criticism. Considering the Nazi's on their forum, and past observance of how they've interacted with a couple of fansites.

Don't you guys think that if Fallout 3 was 3rd person and turn-based, considering the huge amount of fans asking for it to be that way, they would already have said it from the beginning instead of letting people hate on their forums ? It gets pretty obvious now that if they didn't communicate on gameplay so far it is because it is really different from what we were used to with Fallout 1 and 2. I think it will get official pretty soon and fans will get pissed.

I'm of two opinions. Yours, and the other being that this is standard BS Hype Machine in action. Build up the exposure, get folks riled up, sit back, and enjoy the free press.
