Gasoline/Petrol/Bensiini costs 1.52e/l in Finland now...

I suck at this conversion thing.
In my area, gas is 2.85 - 3.59 (the small gas stations are now MORE money because they are losing so much) per gallon.

so... someone do the math of converting that to Euro/liter.

Atlanta and some other southern places skyrocketed to 5$/gallon. Which is wow... unheard of.

This stuff is getting scary.

Is this spam too?
Yes, actually, it is.
Look, demon, you deserved every bit of what you got. We don't vat threads for no reason, we vat them because they deserve to be there. And if you want to stay here longer you should probably learn from your mistakes.

Gas is like $3.24, here. Last I checked, anyway.

Ridiculous. I have a lot of driving to do this weekend, so I guess I'm going to be hitting my passengers up for gas money. Sucks to do, but oh well.

Alec asked to be ranked "Writer-in-Residence" since he's published a few novels. But we could possibly change his rank.

Don't even think about it!

The things I say aren't as crazy as you people think! What would you people know anyway? Always staring at your computer screens, playing games, jerking off in front of some cheap internet porn, totally cut off from reality! Heathens! Sinners! Doomsday is near, I tell you! Nature does not care about us, actually: it totally neglects our presence! And nature will get revenge for all of your sins! Do you really think that fuel prices will drop again? Are you people really that stupid? Do you honestly believe everything you read in newspapers or hear on tv? Ha, you are all doomed, doomed I say! And what's best: you deserve it! All of you! You will all die horrible deaths, alone, sick from hunger and thurst, poor and weak! Yes, poor and weak! I give you five more years to cry in and then it'll be over for most of you! Remember me when that time comes! Alec is not crazy, he is warning you to get prepared! The end will not come in the shape of atomic bombs and deadly radiation, but in the shape of hunger, thurst and a lack of oil!

I have spoken.

:look:

I bike to and from campus. I didn't gas up between late May and early August either.

Oh, and gas is $3.23/gal here. Was $2.45/gal on Wednesday. Gouging, anyone?

Only for those stupid enough not to run for the hills to lick moss for sustenance. Those who do will live a long and happy life of acoustic music, free love and staving children.

I have spoken. Your move, alec.

3.24 USD a gallon is 3.24 USD a 3.7854 litre, or 0.8 USD/l, which is about 1 EUR/l

It's 1.51 EUR/l in Holland now, which is about 4.6 USD a gallon.

Americans REALLY need to stop whining about gas prices.

Also, alec is right. The oil production in the gulf of Mexico is hardly relevant enough to cause the amount of fluxuation in the oil price that it's causing, but capitalism simply works that way. It's hardly unique of oil, it's just easier to notice with oil.

But I still blame Katrina on this raise. It was an excuse to raise the price.

The Boss: "Hmm....anyone have any ideas on how we can raise the oil price without being the bad guys?"

Herv: "Me me me me!"

The Boss: "Anyone?"

Herv: "Me! me me me me me!"

GOD (the one and only!): "I could make a Hurricane or something?"

The Boss: "Kickass! Well call it Katrina, named by my wife!" "Oh yeah, Herv. You know...you really should invest into New Orleans!

Yup, Katrina is to blame today. Yesterday it was Iraq, tomorrow it?s Herv.

Ps. Did Herv already get the "love" package (planetickets to New Orleans), or is it still in transit?

My roommates and friends constantly bitch at me about how much gas costs. Yet they drive to class when their building is literally a 10 minute walk at most. I haven't even seen my car in about 2 weeks since I park it away from my apartment. They drive everyday to places they could easily walk and they have the nerve to complain about the prices. I have to walk 25-30 minutes to get to class/work, and I don't drive. People just need to suck it the fuck up and find other solutions, like *GASP* walking. Of course walking won't work for people that live to far away from work/class, but I know a lot of people that could really help themselves out by not being such whining pussies and hitting the goddamn pavement.

And they also complain about their weight. I wonder if these two problems could possibly be related? Uggghhhhh. :x

Oh, and gas is 3.29/gallon here. And 'Ultimate' is supposed to be a more efficient form of gas or better for your car or some shit like that. I always assumed it was just a way to charge more for an 'improvement' that no human could ever notice. I never get anything other than regular unleaded.

Although you have to ask yourself why not to get the good stuff, when the difference in price is now only 3% instead of the 8 or 9% it used to be.

-shrug-

If I don?t use the "good stuff" I?m in a world of pain. The bitching starts when my baby takes it?s first sip. Trust me...only use the good stuff (Fiat knows if you are trying to buy her cheap...).

I agree that people should walk or use the bicycle. I "could" use the bike for the 30km, but there are problems (not only the fact I?m lazy). No shower at the office (really need one), gigantic uphills (of course there are downhills also...), gigantic downhills (ok, there are uphills, if you survive that far...)...it?s cold and rainy + 30km. 60km A day in those conditions would reeaally make my criteria of happy living.

Still...cheaper to drive your own car than to use those nightmarishly expensive public transports.

now I tried the math earlier and my conversions got quite the different answer than 4.6 USD a gallon. 1 euro is 1.2542 dollars, 1 gallon is 3.7854 liters. So converted... 1.5 euros times 1.2542 dollars/euro * 3.7854 liters per gallon gets a result of... 7.12147 dollars per gallon in Holland.

Mmmm or did I do something wrong? That's damned expensive.
