I'm from Oklahoma so I can help a little.

Farming - Most farmers around here own one tractor, brush hog, a few heads of cattle, horses, and usually plant one particular crop. Some of the bigger ranches are more well off. They might even have a Guest House for their workers. Some people show pigs so you have that. 4H is pretty big.

Music - Linkin Park is a good one since it was so prevalent at the time. You also have Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach, Brittney Spears, Christina Aguilera; or for the more country minded folks, Toby Keith, Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, Dixie Chicks. Depends on what you are going for. Three 6 Mafia, Eminem, and TuPac were pretty big too.

Club scene drugs - Ecstasy/MDMA/X. Cocaine would be big too.

Cars a teen might have drove in the late 90's - Mustang, Ford Ranger, Honda Accord, Chevy Cavalier, Dodge Dakota. Fast and the Furious was big so think of that as well.

Man, I never lived in the US and I already know all that from movies... talk about cultural penetration through films...

To be fair I only named some of the more notable artists that popped in my head, referencing some of the hits that were on the radio, along with what I actually know about the period since I didn't go to clubs in the 90's.

I could go on to mention Korn, Slipknot, and System of a Down, since they were big in my little circle. DMX, Dr Dre, and Gorillaz as well. Gorillaz is a personal favorite. The club drugs are a no brainer as you say if you watch TV or movies. I think Quaaludes are a less well known drug made more popular by a recent movie.

Thanks for the answers guys. Specially the part with the farms and the car, I confirmed what I thought of the former and I am pretty ignorant of cars so I needed the references.

Some stuff I "knew" already but well, different countries so over assuming wouldn't be that wise.

My dad owned a car lot for years. Sunfires, S10's, and Cavaliers were the most prevalent car around here for teens due to the low price. Mustang would be a safe bet as far as sports cars go. So many people owned them it was crazy.

Yeah, plus they are rad. You can go for a GT or a Cobra. Get the Cobra for ultimate baddasness.

A Comic/Graphic Novel, I have been planning this one for a long time and I decided to finally start it for real. Currently writting the Script and Bible to then proceed to make the storyboards (While I also continue practicing drawing to make sure it starts at a decent enough level).

It starts as Urban Fantasy in 1999 in the US.

I look forward to seeing your progress. You definitely have the artistic talent.

I ordered an Intuos from the store the other day, was at a good price, so what the hell, just want to mess around with it for fun more than anything, take it up as a hobbie.

I live in the world of illusions.

Illusions are real don't ya know?

Speaking of the U.S, soon I'm becoming a citizen.

First they're gonna have to perform a bunch of blood tests to see if I have HIV,Ebola of any other nasties like that.

Unfortunately for me I have severe trypanophobia. So this should be just wonderful.

Was considering doing one of those hypnotherapy sessions to get me over it, I've heard good things about them and there's one in the area.

Anybody got any experience with that stuff?

Ahhh...trypanophobia... my old friend. I remember when I was getting my Wisdom Teeth removed, the dentist was applying the anesthesia and it of course involved a srynge going right into my mouth in a horror movie style scene.... I bit the doctor's finger and made him bleed.... Fun times.

Man, after searching for reference images for character design for 3 hours your search history makes you look like a fucking pervert....
