General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

I agree MP2 looks great. However, every time I play it, it seems so fake. There are literally no exit wounds visible on a baddie, and the ragdoll physics make for some weird deaths.

At the moment I play The Witcher - Extended Version and Gothic III.

I played The Witcher almost year ago, so it is kinda repetition but I liked world created in this game so I enjoy going back there for a while. Gothic III had benn waiting for me for two years [my PC was to weak to handle the game smoothly and for the long time there was no good patch].

Also I started Mass Effect but took a break during first fight on Eden Prime. My generally impression was positive and I hope game is worth playing.

Watching Diablo 2 videos on youtube with my Vista laptop with 512mbs of RAM.....

*Sigh*

It's a pretty damned good game. 10 years ago, the RPG elements wouldn't have really stood up too well, but nowadays compared to all other programs, the CRPG elements are fairly good, graphics and story are terrific. It's got plenty of gametime to it as well, good times will be had stick with it.

Unfortunatly for my credibility, Mass Effect got me bored at Citadel. The game looks like another B-Class movie and what's worse, you gotta do the bad acting and boring fights yourself.

I play Witcher EE (though it is hardly mroe than a patch with new VO and inventory) and Suffering 2 (not as good as the first one, but fun afteral).

The "Let's settle for less" attitude makes me die slowly on the inside.

Don't worry, I'm guilty as well.

The Citadel part sucked. Once you get out of it, and into the tick of it, it gets much better.

Mass Effect strength was the story and the relations.

But the weakness was it was way to easy, i think i died like two times the first time i played.

I also didn't like how every planet looked the same after a while, easy way of making many missions sure, but it was only fun the first three times :)

And also the level-system is very basic, but compared to what most games can offer nowadays concerning that aspect, ME is good. Sad that this is the best we can expect...

You didn't find it annoying that the dialog options don't match what the character really says, and that most of them are cosmetic choices?

Mass Effect has its flaws but is one of the better recently released games for sure.

I'm still trying to finish Stalker. I'm almost at the very end and I just now realize how unnecessary was all the time that I put into it. There really was zero point in making all those long, tedious runs to the traders, accumulating all that cash, searching for all those weapons and anomalies. I just want to be done with it now and never touch another Stalker with a 10 foot pole.

I'm thinking to pick up COD4 and the Witcher after this, yes?

BTW, how often do ya'll replay games more than once? I usually play one game at a time so by the time I complete it there is something else I want to play, so I just finish one and move on. The game has to be damn good for me to replay it. A waste of money, if you think about it. Unless of course you get it cheap.

Just recently finished Kings Bounty Legend, it was quite fun. Now i passed on Witcher EE which is great, standard release i stopped playing after few days, could not stand the loading times.
