General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Silverfall, avec le expansion pack.
Dungeon Siege like game which had a lot of problems (naff interface and dodgy framerate) but those are fixed with the expansion pack.
Unlike Dungeon Siege however it is actually fun and the dungeons and areas are short enough so you don't get bored (a bit problem I had with the Dungeon Siege games).
Steampunk and guns are also a plus. :D

Started Fallout 2 again. Playing as a female with tagged Unarmed, Science and Speech.

Other than that, still playing CoD5 in multi,

Recently I've finished Dreamfall.

That's one game I've been meaning to play. How is it in terms of gameplay? Is it similar to anything I could have played?

Any more recent adventure game pretty much, but perhaps a bit under par. Played Broken Sword 3? The latest I think, the one that went 3D. It wasn't as bad as Dreamfall turned out to be but still, it also suffered from the idea to introduce sneaking puzzles. Also, you can and will die in Dreamfall, not too often though. But I just don't like dying in my adventure games. Especially not if its because of a pretty wonky fighting system.

If you've ever played The Longest Journey and expect from Dreamfall what you've experienced in TLJ, you'll be disappointed. Especially by the ending that gives absolutely no closure whatsoever. But Dreamfall isn't all that long really. And if there ever comes a third part its probably mandatory to have played the second game to understand anything at all.

I've played Syberia before and got bored in less than 30 mins. It consisted of completeing puzzles that made no sense and didn't have any obvious reasons for completing them. I was afraid TLJ and Dreamfall would be similar but I keep hearing good things about the games.

Well TLJ mostly has puzzles that can be completed by actually thinking correctly. They are very well done and require an almost minimum of randomly rubbing items against other items. There are one or two that most certainly need a walkthrough though.

Dreamfall....well, while certainly having puzzles that you can solve by thinking, most of them could be solved in the matter you solve having to pee, you just go do it. It's more of an interactive movie than an adventure game really.

I am playing HoI2:DD again, with Ze germans. Atm i a have pushed the allies from Africa, India, China, Europe and soon i will land in US.

Im also playing Fallout (suprise, suprise), and hopefully, ill be able to play Planetscape:torment next week, if the mail decides to arrive in time.

Its been pretty bad year in gaming. I really didn't find any good NEW games this year, hopefully next year is better.

I can't wait for Dec. 23, as I'll have even more reasons to play LBP.

MGS is the greatest video game series ever, and making into a LBP bit is just genius.

Thanks. I'm going to have to try it then. I really dislike puzzles that you have to do by checking what little piece of thread fits into some random mechanism for no apparent reason.

Well now that all my friends are all done with Left4Dead for the time being, I've moved onto Gears of War 2. Which isn't bad, not super great and the matchmaking system for multiplayer seems retarded at times.

It's what you'd expect from a sequel. Mostly the same, few new weapons, continuing story. They try to inject emotion into the story but ya just don't feel it. It really is just a bunch of 'roid monkies beating the tar out of underground aliens.

Still need to get LBP.

Anyhow, I just beat MGS4 and fucking LOVED IT!

There were alot of really great emotional scenes, good replay value thanks to alot of content/weaponry/camos to play the game through again in a totally different way, there were some things in the game though that was just MGS fanservice.

I'm playing some MGO now though and it's okay I guess, haven't gotten any of the expansions so I can't say anything about them, but aside from that it's pretty fun.

GTA IV. Anyone here plays on multi?

Yeah I'm in sometimes. It's a lot more fun than I thought!

Loving the singleplayer too and also still getting through Fallout 3.
