Deus Ex w/Shifter
VTMB w/Wesp's 5.9
Doom II w/Doomsday

misteryo

Games that can be all called RPGs:
Planescape with bug fixes.
Fallout.
Baldur's gate.
Diablo 1/2.

FPS:
Duke Nukem 3D, while waiting forever.
Painkiller (this is what doom3 should have been)
Brothers In Arms: EIB/RTH30 (Flank/Flank/and Flank)

Simulators(ish):
Silent Hunter 4 (i love sinking ships with deck gun)
IL2:1946

Grand Stragedy:
HoI2:DD:Armageddon
Victoria:Revolutions (talk about learning curve!)

Oh boy...Far Cry 2 is WEAK!!!
As much as i was amazed by the graphics and the performance i must say that the story and the gameplay is awful and the game really feels empty!

Avoid it at all costs!

Just finished the new Prince of Persia. It was a very frustrating experience.
The horrible quick time events are made even more horrible in the PC version, since they expect you to remember that green button = spacebar, yellow = e, red = r, blue = mouse 1. And most of the game was just plain old boring.
It's really pretty though, definitely deserves some kind of Art Direction otY award. And the ending was cool.
I have to agree slightly with this guy tho: http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2008/12/23/is-prince-of-persia-ripping-off-shadow-of-the-colossus/
Some of his points are a bit dumb, but there is definitely a resemblance.

And Ubisoft are opening the floodgates for Europe on Steam, so I just bought Beyond Good & Evil for €3.75 (holiday sale, 25% off). Gonna see what all that fuzz is about...

Fallout 1 for the 12th time, with this setup:

1) Install Fallout 1 from GOG.com
2) Find and install "Fallout_1_TeamX_Patch_ENG_1.2w" (either via nma or just google)
3) Install "f1child_patch" (again, nma)
4) Install "fallup13" - this is the TeamX patch 1.3.4 (nma)
5) Install "f1npcmod" from TeamX (again, nma)
6) Install "sfall1" (from http://timeslip.chorrol.com/sfall.html)
7) Install "Fallout1_High_Resolution_Patch_v1.3" (nma)

Intense experience : ).

Currently playing:
- Fallout 3 w/ a fair amount of mods
- Mount and Blade
- Medieval 2 Total War (recently re-installed for the Westeros/ASoIaF mod)
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
- Call of Duty: World at War

Stuff still installed:
- Mass Effect w/ buggy DLC
- The Witcher (not enhanced...I'm waiting for the new box)
- Dawn of War series and CoH series
- Baldur's Gate Tutu

I'll probably be re-installing Hearts of Iron 2 Armageddon (one of the best buys I made in 2007, I think, was the Hearts of Iron Anthology box...comes w/ a cute medal, too  ) if I don't get a new game later (thinking of Far Cry 2 despite some of the negative stuff that I've heard about it, some from these forums).

I also bought the latest NWN2 expansion recently, but have yet to re-install NWN2 and try it out.

I finished Far Cry 2 and Need for Speed Undercover over the last couple of days. One of the endings for Far Cry 2 was rather meh but the other was okay. But generally while the game had some problems left over from console design 101, I'd have to say it's the best 2008 shooter I've played. Need for Speed Undercover though... well I'll just say only buy this if you can lip read since the sound in the cutscenes is almost non existant. If you fancy Maggie Q since most of the cutscenes consist of the camera panning over her body and if you own Need For Speed Carbon since Undercover makes Carbon look like a really great game.

Currently playing Clear Sky and Crysis Warhead, I'm having a problem getting into both games, they seem rather meh so far. Both are failing to respark the magic that I found in the original games (not that Crysis had much in the first place). Both feel like they should of been DLC or add on packs rather than seperate full games.

I am playing JA2 1.13 with Wildfire Maps again since some days. Will finish it today or tomorrow. Then I think, I will play MGS: The Twin Snakes again.

Dungeon Keeper 2, laying down dungeons old skool.
First time playing it as my old computer had an ati graphics card that was not compatible with DK2 and didn't have urge to play it again till now.
Damn addictive.

If you ask Wilson at bearspit nicely he might accept you for the urban chaos beta. urban chaos with 1.13 just rocks, but don't try it if you don't like massmurder (my AE has about 450 kills :D)

its quiet stable (occasional ctd but nothing gamebreaking) and has lots of cool things to do (quests, weaponsupgrade, traveling)

Funny that, I used to play MS Flight Simulator 4 as a kid.

I took every plane and smashed it on the WTC towers. With the Sopwith Camel, I shot it beforehand.

Yeah, I did that too in FS98. That was about all that my patience and skill allowed me to do in MSFS - take off and crash into a building.

But now I can manage almost everything. I just finished a blind flight over the English Channel. Couldn't find the runway and almost missed it because of the damn fog, but did a quick maneuver to line up. The rest was a piece of cake.

I am playing the new C&Cs, Red Alert 2 and Tiberium Wars.

Tiberium Wars is probably the best game in the C&C series and is the best RTS in years (since Age of Empires 2, it is even better than SupCom), Red Alert 3 is mediocre (it has some very silly units!).

Are you nuts? Tiberium Wars has mediocre graphic, poor AI and is nothing but blind tankspam. It has nothing to do with strategy and does not stand a chance against Supreme Commander

Really? I've heard Supreme Commander is kind of unoriginal garbage. Of course this was told to me by a friend who has odd game tastes but whatever.
