GFW on Fallout fans

Jeff Green, whose recently posted on Fallout 3 in his own blog warned us that he and the GFW crew would discuss us in their newest podcast. Briosafreak sums it up for us thusly:
Jeff feels sad for us, all we want is an expansion for Fallout 2, there's not enough info for us to criticize anyway, rose colored glasses, but Bethesda made a great demo, the guys that say new MGS is a great game are the same, Bethesda has a lot to prove...

...while what he saw makes the game the game he wants to play the most of E3, for that there was enough info. Pretty contradictory stuff, but every guy on the podcast were coherent enough in laughing at us and criticizing us, while we seem not to be allowed to do the same about other people.
Bit disappointing after Jeff Green's excellent posts here to hear the tired old "expansion of Fallout 2" fallacy pop up. You can read all of Jeff Green's blogposts, comments and posts here on this handy page on Fallout 3: APNB.

I know I usually transcribe podcasts, but I'm a bit tired of that, especially of transcribing people who I've just seen make sensible posts make disappointing comments.

Too bad.

It's amazing that you have put this much work into streamlining the coverage as it is.
You're a fucking machine, BN.

He never made any sensible comments here. He just dropped in to tell us that we won't like his podcast (because he was intentionally lying about us?).

Pretty much echoes the comments from his blog and about a hundred thousand other people: "You don't know enough to criticize! It's going to be an awesome game!" Whoa, original!

Change the site to "No Zerglings Allowed" and start worshipping a new game?

All I can suggest is that we keep the flame alive for the originals, and continue our attempts at creating mods and fan games :(

Anyway, I know my presence here is just like hitting a beehive with a bat, but I couldn't help myself.
About this pod - it's just like hitting a beehive with a bat while a hungry grizzly family tries to get some honey out of it.

Bad idea.

My main worry is that they are gonna change the pace of the game like they did with Warcraft 3. Starcraft wasn't as fast paced as warcraft 3, and thats one of the things i liked about it.

That kinda sucks, he was a sorta like a informative family uncle when it came to what was going on in the computer industry for me. When he was writting for Computer Gaming World.

I wanna say Fallout 3 wait and see it will be good, but I state 4 examples, Nuclear Catapult, Exploding car engines, the Super Mutant Models, and "let us in M*therf*ckers". As prime examples of why I cannot give this game much hope currently. Reguardless of whos trying to convince me its going to be great, including Mr. Jeff Green.

PS; I'm also featured in CGW issuse#200 I got my gaming memory story printed for my Counter-Strike exploit and the hilarity it caused. Beating out other entries.

"No Mutalisks Allowed" will let us retain our acronym.
We could retain our roots by making it No Muties allowed. Applies to both Mutalisks and Mutants.

He mentions "perceived differences to the original games."

Perceived differences. As if we made up the fact that the mutants look different, or the Power Armor looks different, or the fact that the freaking vault suit now looks like a military uniform. We perceived these things? We just made it up, it's not true, but rather a perceived difference invented by minds who have prejudged the product?

There is no perception altering reality here; the mutants look very different, the power armor is a style not yet seen, and the vault suit is absurdly changed. Fact is, BethSoft didn't have the balls to try and put out a game with a main character (as well as a vault of at least 1000 people) wearing a bright blue and yellow skin tight nylon suit because, let's face it, that's gay looking and the kids would hate it. Just like they hate Spiderman. Instead we have a baggy, military style, dark blue, vault suit with a high tech belt thingy (dollars to donuts, the in-game explanation for the techno belt is that it "monitors your vital signs," so then our HUD will be grounded in "reality).

This guy can hate us, fine, but to dismiss our gripes as perceived differences is beyond insulting, it's plain ignorant.

That's pretty much the gist of it, they're making the game Dark and Gritty using things that in reality aren't very Dark (More Brown than Dark) or very gritty (HAHAHA, That robot just made a witty remark about me, how ribald!)...

Knowing Bethesda, We're going to get a Robotic Sidekick named K.I.L.L (WACKY ACRONYM!) who drinks hard liquor mixed with Nuka Cola's XTREME derivative GROUND ZERO and Skateboards on a giant razor-blade armed with rocket boosters and heavy machine guns...
