Girls and Fallout

I have never played fallout with a male character. Or any other role playing game for that fact..(unless it's forced upon you as in the game gothic) Favorite character has always and will always be a female thief type character.

{does that secretly mean that I want a sex change and then steal stuff?............ :? }

You might be a female for all we know, listening to the way everyone else talks. As I said earlier in this thread, my wife playse games from time to time. She seems to get bored easily, but she really gets into it sometimes.

As for the female Fallout characters, next time I play I plan to use a female since I didn't know you could whore yourself out..... maybe Im weird.

you can whore yourself out at the hole at the den, joey, metzer, t-ray and more! People will talk to you different... espeacialy when you become a pornstar!

Which one is the guy in the chop-shop? If you sell your body, you'll get a discount when buying your car back... but who ever tried to buy his car back, just ram a monkey wrench up his... nose...

They always have lots of beer. Enough to complete the quest for one of the few nice people in Vault City. You know, the chick who wants some real alcohol in her bar.

I don' think average female member on this forum will jump out and tell all the boys that he's in fact a she.

And I don't prefer using a female character for the game although it might give different interaction with NPC. I just think the ways female characters move in the game as a bit weird.

T-Ray.
Stupid asshole. I always take great pleasure in butchering him and his chop-shop boys.

I'd rather wait to get the grav-plates, personally.

Then kill him. But what's up with the fact that he's the only person in the game to stock red condoms?

T-Ray likes the taste of red condoms. It's in the Per's guide.

What about diamondgypsy?

Don't girls like to blow shit up when it is that time of month? I know my sister always were trying to fight me at that perticular time. They also love to play platform games.

From my personal experience, it's nto that not very many girls play video games, it's just that they like different games from us. Girls I know that game are into games like the Sims, Tetris, Mario, and Gran Turismo. That's not exactly Fallout type games, and I only know one who likes any sort of RPGs, and the only RPGs she likes are Grandia II and Harvest Moon for Playstation.

So games which don't really mean anything and you can't have a real discussion on. "I wonder what kind of fridge I should buy for my puppet?" compared to "I wonder what caused the war and what's going on in China now?"

Not that females can't ask the same things or be interested, they just don't seem to be on average. - Colt

I like to play Mario Kart: DoubleDash with my wife. I like to play it because I kick her a$% every time, but hey, it's the thought that counts.

Technically, you could discuss Gran Turismo and The Sims, but yea, the other games... you could have discussed them like 20 years ago when they were NEW and didnt have 30,000 clones, maybe...

I really do think the problem is that the market is geared to males. The types of games that are created are what male testosterone like. The female games that do exist generally play on cliche stereotypes or are geared towards YOUNG females, like the Barbie games and Britney's Dance Beat. The adult female market want games that are as discreet amongst the rest of the games as females are amongst males. Games that play to what they like. Until this is achieved, the Female Gaming market will be niche at best.

What do they really like then? If the only ones we comes into contact witha re the ones who like guy games, how will we find out?

I know several girls who play games, and they're very diverse in their choice of games. I really don't think girls differ that much in their choice of games from guys, at least not in my experience.

I think FO offers a lot for girls. coz the way i see it, chix like the same thing as we do:
1. adorations (from NPCs or PCs alike: RO, if u get my point)
2. kewl stuffs
3. freedom to qick azz
But IMHO the most major important factor of FO for gurls is that it offers: Virtual INTER....ACTION!!! (I'd say intercourse but I think that's too detailed)

My ol PNP crew loved Fallout... I had three girls in it, all of them been playing Fallout since it came out in 1997.... Even my girl likes it.

So for Fallout, I know girls who are just as blood thristy as the average guy.

So I was thinking, y'know, seeing as fallout is supposedly based around 50's Scifi pulp, stick with me here, isn't there supposed to be, like, no option for a female player? When's the last time you read a 50's Scifi pulp novel (christ, there's gotta be an abbreviation for that) starring a woman? Not that I care or anything, but I just needed something on-topic so I could center attention on this poetic masterpiece:

Eheheheheh. Damn you for not making this in sig-friendly format.

wow, sumone wanna sig my 2nd post! dat's like, having sumbody tatoed "rat can rant!" on their chest!...well, sorta...
anyways, edited the post just for you H_M.

In my area tho, chix prefer simulation games like sims or watever tycoon.

I remember sumbody sed dat "men prefer creating, where women, nurturing".Hell, i think a priest sed that. But IMHO, that can be implied in the situation which-gender-likes-what-game too.
Take me, for example, summed together, i think i spent more time creating chars than actually ending the game:roll:
