Well they did recently acquire the full IP from Interplay except for the MMO rights (because Interplay is going to get right on making that, right Herve?).

Which means that even if bethout totaly butchers the fallout setting, Interplay might still be able to come with a real fallout game. (afaik, they should've finished Van Buren, but that's a moot point right now)

I don't see how. Interplay is a rotting zombie, Black Isle no longer exists and in any case Interplay only retains rights to an MMO.
An MMO could never be a "real" Fallout game, and the day I see "LFG Vault 11 no BoS Paladins plz" or "wts ADVANCED POWER ARMOUR 324385023852 caps" I will die a little inside.
