God of War III

Considering the hate that some of the posters here gave to Heavy Rain for using endless quick-time events, it's funny to see the love GoW gets. Every boss in these games is one big QTE.

Is this another PS3 exclusive?

Yep, it sure is.

I've been watching the reviews and one thing is for sure: the game looks freaking outrageously pretty. That part where you fight one colossus on top of the other colossus is the most impressive looking shit I've seen in a video game ever.

Das review embargo has been lifted, the interwebz has been flooded with reviews.

Cannot believe this game is almost out, next to Metal Gear Solid 4 it is the reason I wanted a PS3.

Yeah, the scale of everything is intense. What little we saw of the Levithan fight left me stunned.

The scale was the reason it took this game so long to get out. God of War III was originally going to be a PS2 title but they could not achieve the vision they had in mind with the Titans and huge backgrounds due to the PS2s limited hardware.
I think they said the max enemies on screen at once in GoW II was 15 and in III it is 50.

the game looks awesome! I have been playing GOW collection and i will be finished with GOW II soon. Next stop will be GOW III for sure! :)

I'm tempted to get the collection too, although I disliked GoW1 but GoW2 rocked my nuts.

You should!!!! By all means do that if you liked the games. The graphic enhancments make the collection definitly worth a purchase!

Just got back from GameStop about an hour ago, the Ultimate Edition box is wicked. By far the coolest collectors edition box for a game I have ever bought. I like how they included instructions on how to open it. :P

On a side note, I just found out that Kevin Sorbo voices Hercules in the game, that is just awesome.

Never played GoW, I am not a fan of it. And I cant coment anything about its gameplay quality.

But hell I love the art and concept art of the game. Its awesome.

I am still waiting for my copy of the special edition that will come out on Friday.

I guess I could have gone for that incredible special edition, but 150 Euros?!
That is a bit to much for my poor wallet.

I suppose it is a good deal if you do not already have the first two God of War remakes for the PS3. That was a Euro only type deal so I could not get it anyways.

Not going to go into details or spoilers but the game is absolutely amazing, the scale of things is like nothing I have ever seen in a game before. No one will be disappointed with this if hack and slash is your thing, it is a masterpiece.

I am anxious to play, but I'll not play it too soon. I am raising money for FNV already :( (games are EXPENSIVE here in brazil) I'll wait prices get lower in eBay and buy some used one.

Unfortunate it is quite some money for me, I could live almost three weeks of that.

I may be missing something but why is Kevin Sorbo voicing Hercules awesome?

Because he was Hercules in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, one of the greatest shows of all time.

soo, someone played?

I am playing right now. A friend of mine gave me. Its REALLY awesome. GOW III definitely is as good as GOW I or II.

Damn, I had wanted to write a response last week when I got the game with the mail.

Well I have been playing it for a very long time that day, and while the game is a lot like the previous games including the PSP game, I am not really enjoying it as much anymore as I once did.

The scenery looks as imaginative as the previous games, there are plenty of battles, and there are a couple of puzzles to keep your mind busy but somehow it no longer has the same vibe as it once had for me.

I do not know, perhaps I have grown it out.

I am considering of selling all the games on a Dutch Ebay like site.
