GTA IV finally confirmed and dated for the PC

Eh? maybe mod's will make the game better.

They seriously need to fix a lot of mechanics in that game. I.e Driving, dialogue, weapon selection, vehicle selection, damage modeling, Missions and customization features. Then the game will be fine ;

wooooooooooooooohhhhoooooooooooooo !!!
Now lets hope that it will play good on the pc.i remember GTA San Andreas needed a strong pc back then althought the graphics weren't that good.I just hope it wont be a crappy port !

Great, looking forward to it.

It should be easier to play without hype trumpeting in your ear.

I've never actually finished a GTA game... I usually get stuck on some terrible designed mission (like flying a remote control helicopter into a building to place dynamite) with brutal controls.

Maybe I'll give this one a whirl.

Ahaha, you gave up on that in Vice City? Duuuuuuuuuude, you missed out on so much great and epic shit. All you need to do is remap the controls and you're set, this is actually a pretty easy mission. And you get to chop dumb people up with the helicopter rotor blades. BBBZZZZZ SLICESLICESLICE. Fuck yes, i love that mission.

The remote control helicopter mission in GTA Vice City is a pain in the ass, but can get even worse if you don't kill the cubans in the island first, because they run away in a car after you make the first attack, and it gets fucking impossible to kill them and finish it. But Madbringer is right, there's even more crazy stuff after that.

In GTA 3 no mission was rock-hard as the last, and even that was fairly beatable in 3 or 4 tries.

In GTA San Andreas, thought, I gave up on two retarded missions: in one I had to make a car dance with no tutorials on how to do it, and in the other I had to chase a train full of gangstas on motocycle with a fatso in my back shooting them with piss poor aim. Now those were worst and harder that the remote control helicpter. Actually, San Andreas is very weak in general...

i thought the bike mission in Vice City was the hardest mission.the one where you had to put some sort of pic on the projector.
i actually cheated that mission by using a helicopter to reach the platform.
Every gta has some stupid frustrating mission but i have managed to beat all the GTA's i have played so far.

This news really made my day. Really looking forward to it.

Funny then to see all these "console exclusives", that are after some time coming to PCs. And all their developers telling that PCs are outdated and then releasing those games for PCs.

And you guys actually cough up the dough for these ... games?

Hilarious. With the proper ad campaign, one could sell his diarrhea to people and they'd buy it.

Hell, they'd even drink it, no matter what it tastes like, I guess.

People are weird for sure...

Been hearing and reading about the GTA series for years, but never played any of them ...

Maybe I should find a way to remedy that ...

Dude. If you haven't played GTA1, you haven't truly lived.

Didn't I just post here?

Exactly. It's still the best game in the series. I enjoyed the other titles, too, but not one of 'em was as much fun as the first. I'm looking forward to playing part IV.

Oh yes, GTA 1 is a classic. I still install it from time to time and go on a rampage... remember that one mission in Vice City where you had to get the cop's wife and kids?

"Oh yeah kid, can you plug this chainsaw in on your way out?"

i dumped the GTA series when it went 3D. though the fact that it was 3D wasn't the reason, obviously. :P

GTA games were good, but honestly, they do get somewhat repetitive. The leap from 2 to 3 was huge, but ever since nothing much has changed. There was way too much hype over 4, and once I played it, it just felt like a graphics update of previous games.
