Wouldn't be surprised if it was thrown together by an intern like someone else said. They're fairly crappy wallpapers, but... Eh... They're wallpapers. I wouldn't take them very seriously, especially Christmas themed ones they probably threw together for the hell of it. And yeah The Witcher's Christmas card was much much better, but even the crappy Bethesda wallpapers are more than most places do. No shitty Christmas Mass Effect wallpapers floating around that I know of, nor Bioshock ones (Speaking of which, wonder if there's Christmas in Rapture. Commercialism good, religion bad. Don't remember any diaries mentioning it. THIS WARRANTS ADDITIONAL THINKY THOUGHTS).

I dunno. Saying they're shitty is fine, but drawing the conclusion that all FO3 pipboy art will suck just from some shitty wallpapers seems kinda much.

Addendum: Well holy crap, I decided to go double check the lack of Mass Effect holiday wallpapers before posting, turns out they DID make some.

Those are pretty shitty as well if I do say so myself. I still say the vast majority of companies don't even bother with crap like that though.

The Mass Effect ones are funny, in a "haha yes we know it's a shitty action-movie wannabe that's so bad it's good" way. An EXTREME holiday season? References to blue tits (of the asari kind)? Seems like self-parody to me.
