Thanks Szczypior, good work
Mash I thought this information could be helpful to researching the issue whenever you're active again, hence posting it here. ThanksVagabonD SerpenT said:"It still would pop up from time to time whatever graphics mode I try. Had no such a bug when using [3.x series of f1_res]. I can't even tell it how persistant it is, because one time it would just plague you, other time it works more or less okay... It's just weird. From what I've seen, the bug is that after task switch was done, by some reason Fallout's window gets killed, only instance of the .exe runs in the background, and you can't get back to it by normal means. The only thing working for me was either kill process and restart, or to force window up top option in ProcessExplorer. After the latter one, task switching goes smooth and fine."
"Today, however, I've tried latest version [of f1_res] on dad's machine. His PC is weaker than mine and has no extension VPU, just the one built in the motherboard. So DX9 was too heavy for it (simply wouldn't work) and I had to switch to DX7. No glitches whatsoever. On my computer Fallout in DX7 mode lags like a slug riding a crippled snail and no glitches except of it. It works neat in DX9 though, but then this window death on minimize bug starts rearing its ugly head."
I don't believe so. Or at least it didn't happen with the version that came bundled with RP 2.1.2b.Sduibek said:The issue people are having with Alt-Tab, did that exist with HiRes version 3.0.6?
Wiki? No. Concise list in one place? Yes.Sduibek said:Since Mash is busy at the moment, do we think it would be helpful for him if we made a bug report wiki?
So like in a post here or what?killap said:Wiki? No. Concise list in one place? Yes.Sduibek said:Since Mash is busy at the moment, do we think it would be helpful for him if we made a bug report wiki?
Sure, that's an option. The idea is to have all the info about the bugs in *one* place, but we also want to make it easy so he doesn't have to go through every post and potentially miss something. Having a central location will make his life easier.Sduibek said:So like in a post here or what?killap said:Wiki? No. Concise list in one place? Looks like yes, but there's a separate page for each FO1 and FO2 version.killap said:Isn't there already a high-res patch wiki entry on the fallout wikia?
From my limited experience thus far, it seems like everyone with this issue is using a 64-bit OS.Sduibek said:Has anyone found a solution for the "black box" issue? (640x480 black box on the screen that won't go away)
Sovengarde said:Alright, so I can't mod or do anything worth a crap, but i'm getting Hi-Res patch error after my friend installed the NMA patch into my old Fallout game, and whenever I try to start it, I get a picture of a busted up Corvega, then the screen goes black, and I get a MovieDx Surface Creation Failed Sign. wat do.

@gvx: Glad to hear your multi language mod is working well.
Links in the first post have now been updated. I also renamed the topic to cater for all my hi-res patches.
@FitzyCyborgTurtle: Do you have Fallout installed under "Program Files"? If so, you should consider reinstalling in another folder (e.g. C:\Games\) as Win7 restricts what you can do under "Program Files".
