Horse riding anyone?

I ride a bike, which is sometimes referred to as a 'steel horse' where I live.

I grew up on a farm and rode horses for fun and for chasing cows.

Horses are great except they crap a lot and when they die they are a pain in the ass to bury.

Both points make a cat much more fun to own (except you cant ride a cat)

I can ride and jump pretty well, it's not something which really interests me, however my sisters both breed and sell the things. Horses are really stupid animals; if you are hacking one in the countryside and it sees a plastic bag on a bush, it will freeze. You can spend ten minutes coaxing it past, only for the feat of stupidity to be repeated on the return journey.

I have a love of animals and nature yet I could never bring myself to trust my life to riding on one. Seriously.

I'm certain my fear is irrational as well in case anyone asks.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

I was 10 years old when I got to ride my first horse, it was in my uncle's farm (guy is rich) ..... the fucking animal went off the road they set us to calmly ride the stupid things and it began running in circles in a big grassy zone were cows fed on, I stood on top of the thing for 10 minutes before I tried my luck and jumped out of it, I didn't get any injury, I landed safely but the experience...... I am not too fond of horses.

So Vault Dweller, I don't think your fear is irrational at all, fucking horses.... so THAT is why I hate bronies.... hmmmmm

It's the same with wives. :x

I learned really fast that all horses are unique and require different approach. For example, one is afraid of everything including background noises, pigeons, flies, and water. That horse weights about 1300 pounds and is afraid of flies.

I still remember how I was propelled through the air after he went rodeo on me because of a pesky pigeon. No amount of training can prepare you for that
