How'd you get your username?

My username...my initials and last name. Pretty easy.

A common name I use is, "One Who Stayed." I'll have two accounts, actually (One Who Stayed and One Who Left.) With the first, it's serious business. With the second, I'll test things out or mess around how I like.

I got the names, sort of, from the titles of two tracks on Murder by Death's first album, "Like The Excorcist, But More Breakdancing."

They're not half bad; listen to this.[/url]

You could probably have guessed it, but its from the simpsons

funniest character ever

I got mine from that show that aired from 1995 to 1998 called Wishbone, it was about a dog that had daydreams from literature and folklore. Yep, not really an interesting story.

One day I was messing around in Fallout 3. (Don't hurt me) The thing is, I can only play that game in 20 minute periods before I go from actually doing quests to doing stupid stuff (i.e repetitively blowing myself up). At the time, I was just walking around Point Lookout because I hate that DLC and everything about it, and I found a "Police Hat". Naturally when I find a new good looking item I have to try it on with everything, and I tried it on with Chinese Stealth Armor. I thought it looked amazing in every way possible and kept calling myself a "Stealth Cop". From then on I always carried around a police hat to go with my armor, and whenever I got the chance, I'd put it on and become Stealth Cop, rambling and exaggerating everything I did, and how Stealth Cop cannot be killed by anything. The hat and suit combination would be my avatar if you would like to comment on how amazing Stealth Cop looks.

That avatar is indeed pretty sweet.

What amount is Stealth Cop's "Pants Exploded" stat?

All of them. Nobody in the wasteland has any more pants.

Sounds like something out of an Alchestbreach Montage.

*Spoiler* I'm secretly Alchestbreach

Also, I just looked up Axe Cop. You're starting to worry me.

The old cartoon Tom and Jerry, airing in the Czech Republic in late 90's. I cheered for Tom (the cat) and my brother for Jerry (the mouse).

Diminutive form of Tom is Tomík, in czech, so it was my nickname for a long time. However, most of the video games (Counter-strike 1.5 is the finest example) couldn't support the "í" character, thus I had to change it.

Czech keyboard layout uses same key to type "í" and "9", as you can see here:

Keyboard_layout_Czech.svg

Thus I decided to go from Tomík to Tom9k. which seemed cooler, almost "leet/1337" like.

In 2006/2007, I started playing World of Warcraft, like many others, and I couldn't use this nick there (no number allowed). It wasn't fantasy-like anyway. I played on my brother's account at first, and since all of his characters started with "N", I too picked a name starting with this very letter: Narim, the Tollan from StarGate.

I got my nick name for being spontaneous and crazy adventurous sometimes. It means Shotgun in Russian. Like the shotgun that goes off with a big bang.

Then I opened my first email account in 2002. So decided to use the nick name, but wrote it in english letters, cause shotgun was unavailable.

The avatar I use is Mysterious Stranger perk pic. Tried to edit it to have a weapon look like a sawed-off shotgun, but my art skills are bad and it looks more like a dick in a hand

@Tom9k: A linguistic and keyboard-layout origin, nice 8-)

Also: Mmmmmm, Stargate.

I never noticed that before, but now that you mention it, yeah it does. It's okay though, it's still a great pic. I never pic that perk for some reason, but I love it nonetheless.

I think most of the reason I don't pick the perk, actually, is because he/she doesn't come back if they die, which means the perk is "wasted" if you don't play defensively/saving often/etc.

Mine is just a word that I thought sounded nice and was easy to pronounce both in English and French (I have accounts on boards in both languages). Oh yeah, and there was this character in Terry Pratchett's book "Thud!" called Ardent and I liked that novel a lot. So yeah, there you go.

What does "Ardent" mean, actually?

A friend whose name could be roughly translated as "ash", "flame" or "spark" told me "Ardent" was a French variant of his name. Never bothered to check it, but it seems cool.

"Ardent" means something like "passionate" or "excited" as far as I know.

Yep, all true. But I didn't really choose the word for its meaning. Of course, if it meant "excrement" or "mediocre mod maker" I probably wouldn't pick it :P
