I figured out that the chick in Makta's avatar reminds me of Franka Potente, but I'm pretty sure it's not her.

Reminds me more of Mary Elizabeth Winstead (The girl from "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World")

Yeah similar, definitely not the same person though.

Speaking of which, that actress is so hot in Scott Pilgrim... omg...

I got my name from a character stereotype I found on TV Tropes. A 'Sixth Ranger' is a character who appears out of nowhere and fights both protagonists and antagonists, and eventually joins the protagonists (usually...). I also figured that rangers feature prominently in New Vegas, so I picked the name.

Acratus is a classical name attributed to the following individual:
Acratus was a freedman of Nero. He was sent by Nero in 64 AD to Asia and Achaea to plunder the temples and take away the statues of the gods.

YEAH BUT YOURS IS SPELLED DIFFERENTLY

:P

Last name is long, romanian, and starts with mold. Been called moldy since primary school, never really taken offence to it as no one says it in a bad way.

She wumboes, he wumboes, the wumbo... it's elementary, NMA.

In reality, though, I always ahve difficulty producing a name so I decidedly typed in something off the top of my head.

Yes it is indeed. Something witty.

A French friend misspelled my name and it stuck
There's probably opportunity for a French stereotype / prejudiced joke in here somewhere.

:D

Haha, perhaps. I have nothing against the French, though. Maybe aside from their wine - I prefer South American vintages

I stole mine from a crippled kid in an orphanage. Had to beat him up good first.

I came up with my name as a chlld, playing with toys. I needed to come up with a name for the main hero, and I suddenly just called him Earth (my actual name also starts with an 'E')

Suffice it to say, the name stuck. There's something I just really like about the word. I had ideas about how the character called himself that as to remember his original home, but whatever.

I've used the name in countless videogames and such, including the Fallout series, and never changed it (unless playing as a girl or different character) It's not original, but it's mine.
