If you were making Fallout 4

i'd hire the original wasteland team and the original fallout team and let them run wild

have the timeframe set some where between 2130-2180 after the war, somewhere along the american/canadian border( to show the resentment of the people of canada against americans for starting the war)

haveing 4 factions against each other (two for canada and two for american

Here's my idea of Fallout 4

Setting: West Coast
Year: 2285

You play the son/daughter of a elder in the brotherhood. Your father wants you to join the Paladins, so he sends you on a quest to find a rare gun that can destroys settelments. The reason, 'To make sure it dosen't fall in the wrong hands'
You find the gun in Vault 15.
You return to the Wastes only to find the NCR who also want the gun. They shoot you and take the gun. You return to the Brotherhood who then send paladins out to find the NCR.

You join the Paladins who are then ambushed by Ceasers Legion. You escape and return to the Brotherhood. The BoS are then attacked by the NCR. The Brotherhood win their fight against the NCR.

You are then sent on another mission to find the NCR base.
You find their base and attack them. The NCR are then destroyed. You return to the Brotherhood only for them to become hostile towards you. They have learned that your father has been telling the NCR and Ceasrer Legion about the Brortherhood and believe that you will do the same. You escape their base and head into the Wastes.

You then find Vault 13 which has been attacked. You investigate and find Super Mutants. You escape and head towards the NCR base. You tell them about what you have found and try to convince them to join you in the fight against the Supermutants. They ask you to do a few quests so they can trust you such as help them rebuild and find weaponsand ammo.

Next, you go to Ceasers Legion for help. They tell you to do a few quests such as find legion members and find some people so they can crucify them.

Finally, you go to the Brotherhood with the NCR and Ceasers Legion (who are willing to become allies for this one battle)
They ask you to so a few quests such as find dead Brotherhood members and try to find lost paladins.

When you have all three as allies, you head to Vault 13. Once there, you have a fight with the supermutants. Once Vault 13 has been cleared, you go back to the wastes. You learn that someone has been creating more mutants in the wastes. You search the world and eventully find Vault City which has now been overrun with Supermutants. You then find who has been creating the mutants, your father. You kill your father and then exit Vault city. There are still more Super mutants in the vault and with the gun you found at the begening of the game, you destoy Vault City.

However, the Brotherhood, NCR and Ceasers Legion are all at war with each other. The final mission involves you joing one of these factions and defeating the other two.

If you join the NCR, then more people join from accross the West Coast. The NCR start set up NCR bases from across the Wastes. and within fifty years, the NCR become the biggest Faction in the Wasteland. With Bases all over the country. The story of how you helped the NCR is told and is now a legend. How you killed your own father for the good of humanity.

If you Join Ceasers Legion, then the Faction will start to kill people across the wastes. NCR and BoS paladins become slaves for Ceasers Legion. In twenty years, you become the head of the Ceasers Legion.

If you join the Brotherhood of Steel, then the NCR head East due to the BoS being the most powerful faction in the West Coast.
Ceasers Legion then crumble and within ten years, only the Brotherhood exist in the West Coast.
You become and Elder and then become the head of the Brotherhood. You are said to be the best leader he Brotherhood has ever had.

Millim, you(ignore your name if you are not serious with your post and I realy hope that) and Geroge Lucas and several others have to understand that good storys cant continue if they constantly rehash their old stuff.

Dutch Ghost for example has some very good concepts. They are not overused and one can spin them in very interesting ways.

Supermutants are NOT the generic bad guys in Fallout wich are always fun to fight or good for another zomgtheebilmutantsarerising story.
Supermutants are finished, period. They are used up in F1
They appeared in F2 but only as sidekicks of almost no importance.
Oops some insane ones left in the military base and wtf Redding but thats it.
They might still be good for a reference here and there but thats it godamit. The Master is gone and he was a big part around that whole supermutant stuff.
How about something new ? something inovative ? Something fiting but interesting and different?

I hate to point at Fallout tactics but at least this calculator stuff was not another cheap rehash of "iconic" Fallout stuff.
It was not exactly original but at least they tried.

And last but not least, Supermutants wont make the Citizen test and can obviously then not be found in vault city, thats common sense.

I'd like the idea of Fallout set in the 2080's-2090's. At that stage, radiation is still a serious issue, and you could have loads of factions trying to swipe what resorces are left. At that stage you would still see ragged army units turning into bandit bands, police in undamaged small towns trying to keep 'the law', looting groups everywhere, vaults opening up to rebuild and surviving goverment departments attempting to restore the USA. (Not by killing everyone or the FEV, but by controlling bread-and butter things). There would still be cars, choppers, bikes, tanks, planes etc but they are dropping to peices like everything else.

I agree - no mutants! Preferably no deathclaws either. And no bleeding Enclave - unless it was given a proper back-story.

That idea would be good if it was set further into the future than that, and had a more set background with more explained stuff, but yeah that.

BTW, Millim, NCR already was the largest faction in the wasteland, that's what Caesar was worried about because he knew that he could never fully conquer the NCR because of their size.

Out of curiosity, I don't recall reading anything like that on the history of Fallout, but does the rest of the world got bombarded by atomic nukes aswell?

I know that a lot of them fell on the US and China, and such lot of bombs sure affects a wide range not just the blast but the radiation winds that are left.

But what of a few countries that far from these countries? Like, for example, I live in Brazil and I live in the southeastern area of the country, which is pretty far from the US. I guess that hell would break loose on a place like that, but not because of the nukes, but because of the economics and rampaging population.

I think it would be really nice if a next game was placed in a far country like that. London is kind of another example of being far away from the nuked sites.

Yeah most of the world was nuked because the EU (European Union) and Russia bombed each other, Africa was split between the sides of Russia and the EU as well furthering the dismay, Oceania was aligned with the yanks and the EU so was nuked by China and Russia as well, don't really know about South America.

Thats a bummer :(

I really wish that EU wasn't nuked.

But its quite interesting to think what would happen down here.

I'm sure that wherever didn't get a little of the blast radius would probally end like New Vegas, with a few Leaders that already thought themselves owners of country now truly owning it, god knows how many Chaves fucktards we've got down here.

But I think it would be somewhat interesting to try and amplify the Fallout lore on these areas, non-canon of course, but it would be nice.

Man I gotta learn how to program and design stuff on Fallout 2 engine.

In Britain I know it worse than America because Tenpenny moved to America to make his fortune, can't be a good sign for Britain. Don't know that much more though, I think a team of peeps from this website (yes i'm also interested in it as well wildman) should try and make some non-canon stuff for the rest of the world, make it a lot more interesting.

How would that be possible? The guy who runs the bar in Megaton immigrated from Ireland, I don't see how they could make it over.

Sorry I meant the word can't not can but.

They could make it across on boats, thats how normal people do it, sorry for my pessimism, i'm angry that I should be beaten for saying the word peeps, people shouldn't abuse their editable powers.

EDIT: Ahhhh the system is unstoppable, how can it do this it's just down right despicable, we must rise up and destroy the system we are all slaves! erghhmm, sorry about that.

Ohhh i dont like it in the U.K. anymore so I just move to the U.S. with the H.M.S. BoS or a Vertibird taxi. People struggle to get food and clean water but international travel was quickly reetablished of course. A bit anticlimatic imo but what do I know about Postapocalyptic stuff.

Several corporations, still manufacturing hallucinogens, compete for the minds of people and the formula for the ultimate trip, in post-war Chicago. Or something. Kind of the theme from New Vegas: what if a sliver of the pre-war culture survived?

Fallout Chicago would be like modern Sao Paulo, in size and condition, with three monolithic buildings rising through the squalor. Millions still inhabit the city, even after the bombs, but the radiation and Plague are traumatizing them, and their only escape is in the best three corporations' Cadillac drugs. Maybe the player's DNA conceals the structure code for true PVP? I don't know.

That looks brilliant, I really like the idea of Environment Armour, also the idea for Heckler and Koch is good, yet I think your going to have to rename it to be able to use something similiar, I don't know that much about law, but I hope you don't have to.

Hello Mr Krepe,

Thank you very much for your praise.
Well Heckler and Koch was actually also mentioned as Heckler and Koch in Fallout and I have not heard any complaints from the real company so far.

Sadly not all of these ideas or inspirations are my own so I can not use them, how much I would honestly love to.

I would really like to have permission from Shigor (or have a look at his old team's design documents), but I am not a thief so I would not use them behind his back.

Well for some Fallout 4 i would most propably try to expand the existing feeling of the series and show some other regions (while trying to also expand the existing story).
So either from adding Arizona/Mexico (if i would go for a F1,2,NV feeling) or New York City.

But really i would more like to make some sort of spin-off and go for something less 'Mad-Max'-esque or 'I am legend'-esque and something more 'Jules Vernes'-esque (At least for something what i think this means ;) ).
So i guess i would go for the Amazon region. But it might not really feel that much fallout-ish. But i'd really like to see some mutated jungle environment, with less High-Tech and some more realistic tribal feeling. As a nod to the movies of the... well i guess 60's, it would feature whie 'Cave women' and some real explanation to why they exist when naturally in such condition and countries you have more dark skinned peoples. *snickers like some 5 year old about that*
But i'd to check the Fallout lore to see if this would contradict it - but hey, if i'd be making Fallout 4 or this spin-off i would've the money to pay some people on checking the lore and maybe even hire good writers.

Well hopefully with Fallout updated-old-school-engine we might get something new and fun to play, the way it was with the old Fallout's.

Another huge pile of realy nice stuff from Dutch Ghost. Its amazing, realy amazing. Everytime I read this stuff from you I think yeah, thats it, thats Fallout at its finest. Please continue.
If you have for whatever reason to rename H&K call it Heckler & Mauser perhaps. Afaik it was formed from former Mauser employes.

This would make it into H&M hmmmmmm.....come on chaps we needa open this blast door, its a H&M storage o.O

Nonetheless your ideas are always guaranteed to be excellent, your work is nearly always absolutely flawless, sometime I look at your work and believe it to be better even than FO2 and FO, it's absolute excellence.

Oh yeah I forgot about H&K being featured in earlier Fallouts. Although I liked it when the Fallouts named the weapons with their technical names like the Type 56 Assault Rifle, and the L27 Rifle.

PS: Incidently, Lynette, H&M is a clothing shop in Britain. Oh wait, is that the pun...
