Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

PS, one thing they never explained is why the Russians needed the alien remains from Area 51, all they seemed to need was the skull the Conquistadors had taken with them.

Cate's character says something about that at one point, but it's really easy to miss. Apparently the Russians found two dead aliens themselves, but they didn't have crystal skeletons. Then they also found a third that did have a crystal skeleton. They needed the Area 51 remains for comparison or something.

It's all very nebulous, but there was a stab at a brief explanation.

Also, I agree with your review.

I saw the day it came out. It's not bad, but it didn't have the same punch that it used to have. Am I too jaded?

The pacing is a bit off, and I wish it was more suspenseful in terms of plotline. The ending and the female lead isn't that great though.

I'll bet the director's cut isn't that far behind.

havent watched it yet

is it the usual "OMGWTF i saved teh earth and i am SO NOT GETTING THE WOMAN OF MY LIFE THO" end?

whats up with these marvel and dc guys?

Which do you think is less terrible to sit through: This or Ironman?

I had fun seeing both of them, but I'd say Iron Man is the safer pick because it's less polarizing. Some people really don't like IJ4, but most people seem to like Iron Man. By going with Iron Man you maximize your chances of not being disappointed.

I like this Indy installment, but it isn't my favorite one of tetralogy...

That magnetic field skull worked in very mysterious ways. Almost like if it was only magnetic when it was needed for the plot...
And that flying refrigerator scene was really unreal, even for Indiana Jones!

But all in all, I like Indy, so I liked the movie.
