Infinity Wards is dead

Yeah, Steam is why I never play any of my Valve games. I love Op4, for example, but never go back and play it. I still haven't beat HL2, just because being required to open it through Steam (which consumes its own resources; I'm not running a true gaming rig and I multitask, so it's an issue) discourages me from ever playing.

I don't think that holds up. As true as it is, its really non intrusive. Speaking as someone who regularly buys games off steam, i think its incredibly convenient. Now, if you bought HL2 off the shelf and it needed steam i could understand your frustration, but i think its a great service. Its more of a distribution platform to me as opposed to a required service (...) Read; Ubisoft and SecuROM.
That's hilarious. How is it not required? Does not compute.

Also, Ubisoft irritates me with Securom, but they make good enough games that I just get them on the 360.

Steam is working today. But the first half year of its release people went crazy as Steam was crashing their PC and causing a hell lot of weird issues
I remember that; I had crashes, disconnects, etc. personally.

Back on topic, IW did make fun games. I enjoyed MW1&2, but haven't liked any other Call of Duty. Sort of sucks that they closed I guess, but it tends to be downhill after 2 anyway, it seems.

Edit: Oh yeah, and those Ramirez pictures were super lulzy.
Edit2: Yeah, I could've gotten the Orange Box on 360, but in my experience ports = garbage, and I know Valve's a PC company, whether they're putting out more console stuff now or not.

Well, if you buy it for console, you don't have to mess with Steam. However, Valve's support for consoles is piss poor, so you might just be better off using Steam.
