Institute Kidnappings?

When the main antagonist faction of your game is dumber than the Joke Faction of a DLC of the previous game you gotta know you fucked up. And the weirdest part is that some people actually think FO4 explores transhumanism in any way... or even that the Institute is well written....

Well, it does. Fallout 4 is actually more complex in exploring philosophical themes than most mainstream movies and games these days. Guess what that says about the state of the entertainment industry?

That you don't really watch much movies or read that many books?

Most of the stuff NMAers describe reading or watching are as obscure as they get. Besides, I didn't say books. And I was exaggerating. But go on like you do, I know you all like being as bitter as fuck over the smallest of statements.

You don't like being called out on BS statements, do you?
I like how you always try to sneak in Bethesda apologism. If you are going to make such statements at least be able to defend them without pissing on the floor.

I'm not really liking your use of "apologism" as a derogatory term, especially as everyone has been an apologist for everything at least one thing. I'm trying my best to be less biased every day, and people like you aren't helping.

Sure, I can't defend what I said. I exaggerated and my statement was in no ways more than fifty-percent true, I admit it, but you took it more seriously than I intended. From what I've seen of your other discussions, you're not exactly having a good time IRL right now, so I would rather leave this argument until you cool down, because you have a tendency to escalate every argument.

Ziggy, I think you have a pretty thin skin, also, what you are using what I wrote yesterday on the chat as an argument? I actually solved the issue today first hour I just needed to vent it. Maybe you should try more proper discussion, less thin skinned tantrums and personal attacks every time you are called out.

That is exactly what I'm not doing! You know what? I'm just going to apologise for offending you and call it a day, since outright admitting that my statement was false didn't seem to please you.

I had good intentions and I was trying to be nice. Funny how that always work out on NMA.

Guys, guys calm down.

Let's not get defensive or angry at each other. I don't think Zig was trying to do anything, though I have to admit that statement is really... ehh dumb when you look around. But a otherwise he's in my opinion a valued member.

Yes, it was dumb. Yes, he kept offended even after I admitted it was dumb. My actual point was that there are games that do much worse with storytelling than Fallout 4, and I was trying to bring up the fact that the entertainment industry has dumbed down writing and Fallout 4 is only a symptom of this plague, not the actual plague.

I phrased it wrong. No, Fallout 4 is not "more complex in exploring philosophical themes than most mainstream movies and games these days."

Great, so now it's Walpknut's fault for continuing the problem when you agreed to what he said.
